Hey everyone, I have recently been thinking about making some movies or maybe a web series for Youtube.  My friends are all in on it and want to be part of it so I have all the actors I need.  I have a story line for the movie (or web series, haven't decided yet) that will hopefully be decent.  I just have a couple questions for people.  If you have any film making experience, I would gladly take any tips you can throw at me.  If you have any, I would greatly accept them.  Thanks a ton

What is the movie gonna be about?
What genre is the movie?
Whats a good reason that we should see the movie?
Whats the protagonist and the antagonist?
These are just a couple of questions.

MoblinGardens :
I tried that pick-up line for years and got nowhere.
Now I just flat out tell them I'm an Adult Film Maker Without a Crew or Budget. Works Every time. (.)
(Jokes aside.)

Sounds like you are using the tools for good kicks.

1)So, I recommend taking photos of all the scenes you want to make and build a mini ComicBook of sorts to see what works and what does not work. It helps to keep everyone on the same page.

2)Also using Comic books as a reference to see what works in shots, and image framing up too.

3)Just do not have anyone run around in tights, OR say things like "Bang", "Pow", "To the moon Alice."

After that I say only do this if its fun.
Life is too short for grievances.

Good Luck To All.
Peace.

It all depends. We need details, like genre, length, stuff like that. I'm going to give you a few tips for any web show to take off though.
1. Make the video proffesional as possible. If you have a video using a shaky flip cam 360p, no one will watch it
2. Try to get as good as audio as possible. If you can, get one of those mini clip on microphones. If not, it is really hard to get good audio, which helps in web shows
3. Watch over your video a few times. Does it work well with the genre? Is it interesting, or do you find watching it boring? Try to keep things fast paced and interesting.
4. Make a schedule. Do it, and stick to it. If you want to pick up viewers, you need consistency. Don't stop just because not many people watch it. It takes time.
I could give you more advice if you give me some information about the show. Regardless, good luck, and I can't wait to see it.
