Before posting, please be aware this is directed towards Scottish ( possibly other members of the United Kingdom) users whom high-schools are converting to a new Period system. Do not post miscellaneous stuff if you live elsewhere in the world.

Now as some of you may be aware, the Scottish education board are changing how a school week is setup soon ( around august I believe ).
This change effects how long a week is and how long each days are. The old system include a bog-standard 30 Period week with 6 periods a day. But the Scottish education board have decided to implement a new system. This is called the 33 Period week.

So I'm here to ask you what you feel about this change.
Personally I think It will make school much more confusing as each day is a different length of time than another ( this is due to my school being a host for certain after school activities. Which include taking student to take college courses on Fridays and Wednesdays. )
This seems like an unnecessary change to me as it affects how much you are actually taught.

The change makes periods shorter giving students less learning time in each subject, however the extra three periods offer the ability to stack periods together to gain more teaching time for certain subjects.

So what is your opinion on this change. ( If this is happening else where in the UK just tell me )

I've heard of similar things around me, but to this extent? No. I honestly think that is over the top. Why different length days? Why not just add a few days? That's what my district is doing...
