As the title says; I was wondering if people preferred seasonal anime series/OVA'S which finish in less than 25 episodes, or ongoing anime series like Naruto, Bleach etc which can go on for hundreds of episodes and seasons?

I'll admit I'm not that big an anime fan and haven't watched loads of series to pass proper judgement, but I do prefer a short series over a long one, because the stories avoid a lot of padding/filler while still telling a great story.

What do you guys think?

I don't mind short or long..
but i would prefer a long one with a really good story line.
the anime i followed already:
hellsing( short but REALLY GOOD)
naruto(almost done(i think)
bleach(still waiting for the new release which isn't coming i think lol)
soul eater(  riideous funny shizzle with a creepy but cool back story)
one piece(until 25 after that i though it eas way to long to follow lol)
fairy tail( still following and i love it!) (GO NATSU)
dragon ball Z (everyone knows dragon ball Z! If you don't know it you're a no-go-er ( yea i know shizzly word)
medabots (i found this really cool back in my childhood and even followed both series 2 months ago)
beyblade ( i prefer the older stuff they were amazing. The new metal fusion shizzle is lame )
digimon (damn i loved this show! I watched EVERY SHIZZLING movie of this anime!)
Pokémon(of course Pokémon! Everyone knows Pokémon! POKEMON if you don't know Pokémon you're not from this planet...)
b-Damon (this show was funny but the later release(later seasons ) were bad)
full metal alchemy (omg this anime was so amazing! I even watched the movies! The whole storyline was so amazing! Come to think about it i might re-follow it if i have the time)

pff to be honest i already followed so much different anime that i can't remember all the names haha XD
but the variety of length is really different.
because Pokémon, bleach,naruto,one piece, dairy tail, beyblade,digimon,dragon bal Z all had or different releasing or a really long story.
but full metal alchemy and hellsing had 2 seasons based on the same story but only told in more detail.
soul eater also get a re-release of the first season but that was a half year ago when i read that.

i think that's pretty much is. Don't you agree?

I prefer a shot anime because they usually have the best story lines and thought put into them.

A lot of my favorite anime series run in to the 50 plus mark for episodes, so I'm giving my vote to longer.
I will admit I love some short animes to thou, like Hellsing.

Depending on the number, I don't mind long animes. Even if it goes in hundreds, but as long as the story is constant, and doesn't randomly goes to side story mode, and just drags on forever. Some people like it, but I sure don't.

I honestly really like longer mangas. I am currently read InuYasha and Bleach. Yes, im reading them at the same time. I just lobe always having the adventure go on and never end. I can guess the characters dont want it to go on but it looks cool to me

I honesty prefer the longer ones. They make for a better story line, and in my opinion, will bring in a bigger fan base, and therefore, ultimately, more interest in the series.

Honestly 26 or less animes don't really appeal to me, 40-60 episode animes do however. Specially those ones which attempt to play with your mind.

As for long running serious I'm not a fan of them since they can take forever to watch.

i like long anime series because a short anime series are boring and its a lot better any way .

I love long anime series I would be mad if I really loved this anime then on episode twenty-three the series ended all of the sudden I would be really mad not even fifty episodes is enough the least would be at least seventy-six.
