Alright, I had to do a review for this game because I think this is the most interesting Mario game I've ever played. It has 256 worlds and I don't know HOW many levels, because there are too many to count.
Graphics: 8
I had to rate this high because I absolutely love NES game graphics. Seeing those old, 80's-style graphics reminds me of how long Mario games have been around.
Sound: 8
The main theme from the original Super Mario Bros. is probably one of the most popular video game themes out there. I love the music from this game and the sound effects are really good in my opinion.
Addictiveness: 4
I rate this low because this game truly intrigues me, but once I beat it (which will probably take the rest of the year), I probably won't try to beat it again. Besides, I'm video recording this game (not uploading it on YouTube because I closed my YouTube account quite a while ago). This game is awesome in my opinion, but it's the same levels over and over so once you're done, you're done.
Story: 4
Just like all other Mario games, the story goes like this: Bowser took Princess Peach and Mario needs to go on a quest to save her. It's a great storyline, but it's the exact same thing for every Mario game, so that's why I rated it low.
Depth: 10
Yup, I rated it a perfect 10. Why, you ask? Because it has 256 WORLDS. That makes it bigger than any other Mario game or any video game in general! Like I mentioned earlier, I might not beat it 100% until the end of the year because it takes forever. But I WILL beat it someday! And I won't stop 'til I do!
Difficulty: 6
I rate the difficulty kind of in the middle because if you've beaten the original Super Mario Bros. 100%, this hack shouldn't be TOO much of a challenge. However, there are some long and frustrating worlds. Like worlds i, m, r, v, --, which are 3-3 repeating and 8-3 repeating. 8-3 isn't usually too hard, but playing it 5 times in a row without dying is HARD. Like I said a couple times, I haven't beaten the entire game yet, so I don't know what other challenges await.
Overall: 9
I think this game is amazing and I don't know how the creator of this hack got extra worlds in there. If you like Super Mario Bros. and are ready for a longer game and a bigger challenge, then finish reading this sentence and play the game!
