   Ah, the PlayStation. A simple "old" console for some, and a nostalgia-filled joyride for others. But what exactly made this console great? Was it the graphics, the console itself, the fun gameplay? And to that I say no, it was the games that made this console a pinnacle of video gaming and continued to multiple evolutions of itself. And though it's predecessors' games where and still are, great games, you really can't respect them like you did the first gen's. But if that's the truth, than there is still one bigger question. Which game was the best from that console? I'm TheEagle123, and I'm here to ask you which game, in your own opinion, was the greatest PS1 game ever released. The rules are simple:

Well, since all of my favorite games were available on the PSX, I feel like I'm repeating myself (and I am lol), since I've already named my all time favorites, but here goes.

Top three, in no certain order: Clock Tower (not the same as the snes version on here, though it rocks as well), Future cop L.A.P.D. (solely for precinct mode), and Harvest Moon: Back to nature (because I'm a Harvest Moon nut).

Since I cant really remember which crash games were in the PSX. Anything on there that was crash bandicoot (I am a bandicoot nut) and FF7, it didn't really please me aesthetically, but I liked it alot.

Ridge Racer is by far the best PS1 game made.
Sure the 8 tracks are the same track with different variations, but the gameplay is pure arcade joy. That's what matters most right.

There's plenty of great PS1 games, like Tomb Raider, Crash Bandicoot, and Metal Gear Solid. Ridge Racer was a launch title and pretty much started it all.

My favorite PlayStation game is definitely Final Fantasy VII, and I know this sounds kind of predictable for a Final Fantasy fan, but this game was an amazing game when I first played it and I loved it, it was one of the first games that was really like an adventure to me and for a game does that to me is just mind blowing. So yeah Final Fantasy VII, and I think a very close second would have to be Vigilante 8. That is more of a childhood nostalgia though, as a kid my dad and I would play that game all the time.

My favorite ps1 game is an easy chaise, Tekken 3. Tekken 3 is the greatest tournament fighter of all time, the graphics are a big improvement over tekken 1 and 2, in tekken 1 and 2 when you jump you jump so high you could leap over a house that was fixed in 3, I love the characters in I, the story is really good for a tournament fighter. Me and my best friend spent half of our child hoods playing tekken 3 and I have very fond memories of it.
