This game gets a lot of unfair criticism because of the fact of translation from Japanese  to English but its truly the game that started the whole Pokémon franchise  and quite frankly its way better than 4th or 5th generation Pokémon games and the controls worked fine for me

This game is OK. I like the other ones better because in the other games like fire red I would chose the fire Pokémon and in Pokémon blue I would use the water Pokémon. I don't like choosing grass Pokémon because they just aren't has strong has the others.
