I recently got a fresh copy of "Darkiders" but unfortunately I also got a stomach flue of some kind. So I cant keep my lunch down with anything sporting an "M" rating.
So I popped in some less graphic games that are still cool to look at. "XIII" (a fist person shooter), and "Robotech Battlecry" ( a 3.D. flight simulator shooter). Then it dawned on me to start a thread about games people play while they are sick. Good Luck. I gotta go. So I popped in some less graphic games that are still cool to look at. But... Aren't FPS games almost always M rated?
Anyways, I just play what I usually do, nothing really special or anything, Nya~. (PS: Tell me how Darksiders is when you get a chance to play it, I've been trying to get the sequel for some time, also making me think of getting that one) Anyways, I just play what I usually do, nothing really special or anything, Nya~. I already cleared a few levels of "Darksiders". The thing plays allot like "Zelda O.O.T." mixed with "Devil May Cry". It's really great. Same goes for the story. The art is beautiful but can be similar to a "Spawn" comic book. Right now I do not want to attempt any strange visuals due to my current ailment. "XIII" Should not be rated "M" due to its graphic fundamentals. (It Looks like a 1960's "Spiderman" Comic.) The Story is where it might get a "T" rating due to it's Spy vs Spy nature. Things that get an "M" rating are given it due to how frightening or adenaline boosting the Visuals, Themes, or Suggested Behaviour of the characters might leave a lasting impression on a young mind. Granted All video games that have a hint of violence should be considered for the "M" rating at least once during it's creation. What I have discovered is if the the content can not be taken too seriously by the player, then it has a chance to be cleared for a rating that has a lesser severity. Action ? = "T". Gore ? = "M". People depicted with Typical Human Contact? = "T" People who "get down and Freaky"?? = "M" "Star Fox" is a First Person Shooter. Yet we give it a "T" (At Max) rating. Why is violence in a fighter jet or space craft deemed more acceptable? I have no clue. But the results are in. Some violence is O.K. For the youth and Others is not. During my Teens I always thought of he rating system as odd due to the extreme violence you find in the "Quarter Munchers" of the Past. (No signs that stated you must be this tall to play "Narc or Mortal Kombat." Right next to the Stuffed Toy Crane Arm machine. The Rating system that exists now.. just is.. and I consider it when I have the new flue bug that causes me to have cold sweats and has me re-seeing my lunch from time to time. No need to call the doc when a little chicken soup and sleep is all a body needs. Thanks for the Brainteaser of a post for me to reply to. It passes the time just nicely. Thanks. (Anything to not feel useless when I cant do a sit-up without feeling my guts bust into flames is a plus.) Good Luck To The Rest. I like the posts. I'm Done. Stick a Fork in me. Peace. If anything it would mostly be handheld Pokémon games so I don't have to leave the safety of the couch. I just don't like to move at all when I'm sick. I only get up for the bathroom because most of the time my mom will feed me. |

If I really want to just kill the whole day, I usually play Skyrim. But, if I am looking to kill a few hours, I will play a racing game, or work on some other game that's story mode is limited compared to Skyrim. Right now, I am working on the Assassin's Creed Saga and Halo 3: ODST. |

Well the past two days I've been playing Final Fantasy X-2 again. It's keeping me busy but not mentally challenging (hah). I can't handle things that are too fast or crazy on these painkillers, so yah. |

Been a few days and guess what?
I'm seeing the doctor for some rare... I'm kidding. I'm all better now. I'm only three of pounds lighter. (Thank God Or Whatever. It will not be too much trouble getting it back.) Thanks for the posts. I decided to finish "XIII". (Come to find out the rating on the disk is "M". Strange. I'll have to look up why.) One of these days Ill have to do a review on it. It is not too bad a game if you don't mind the pistol being almost utterly useless in an F.P.S. game. So for hard core Shooting fans that try to do speed runs with only Pistols? I suggest getting something else. As for everyone else? !!!Spoiler Alert!!! The ending??? I am glad I put this thing down years ago and have not gotten around to finishing till now. People don't talk about the game ever again after playing it. Why? The ending. It ends with a cliffhanger. I am also glad I only spent about seven bucks getting it in the first place. The ending is not bad for seven bucks. For the 50 to 40 dollar price tag of when it was originally released?? Way too bad a move. The Art is fantastic. The story is great. Disguise the lead character to resemble a dead assassin that conspiritors killed to cover a plot to eliminate a leader and begin world war three.Smoke them out. Then ... "Smoke Em." The Menue alone is worth half the cost of the full price on this game. (Memory fragments and mystery plot puzzle pieces increase and unveil the story as you progress through the game. Every time you start up the disk? Too Sweet.) I don't want to spoil the story too much. (I want the sequel to be made. Others have to play it to want it. Honest.) I'll just say the truth about Number 1 is "Relative" to the truth about the victim. The Music Fits well and is not too "Over the Top". Wait a minute... I am doing a review. Anyway I just wanted to say "thanks people." I hope this "Thread" does not end with my illness cured. We all have had a cold before. Good Luck To All. I'm Done. Stick a fork in me. Peace. If I was sick, I'd honestly just want to play anything on a handheld. That way, I can hunker down on the couch or in my bed with a hot cup of something to sip, and the game right at my finger tips. I'm not well versed in modern games, but I'd want something that didn't require me to think a lot, so puzzle games would be out automatically. I'd probably enjoy racing games or tycoon games. |

With a cold, flu? hmm, It is something that isn't to exciting. . (like Wii fit or Skyward sword) Paper Mario and the Thousand year Door. I get to beat up baddies, but because it's turn based it's easy to play mindlessly Paper Mario and the Thousand year Door. When i'm ill i just tend to play games that are turn based or that i'm familiar with. Considering that when you have a stomach bug, or a flu you probably won't be able to concentrate as much and that you'd go through stages of tiredness.. It'd be something like Sonic 2.. which for me is a game that I've played so much i end up in a trance... muscle memory and all that stuff It helps a lot when your room is so small i'm literally sleeping with the monitor beside me... Yeah my room is really that small. It helps a lot when your room is so small i'm literally sleeping with the monitor beside me... Yeah my room is really that small. |

Call me nerdy but if I'm strong enough or healthy enough to play games, I go out in the world and go to work. I do what I have to and I get stuff done. There's no reason to skip a day and not take advantage of learning, working, and experiencing life. I play enough games in my downtime that I don't need a day to do it. Saying that, if I were sick, I'd play weewar all day. Saying that, if I were sick, I'd play weewar all day. |
