Just read the title: "How bad is traffic where you are?"

I live about a 15 minute drive outside of Honolulu Hawai'i. And if you are driving during rush hour, in between 4 and 6:15, then you are at a stand still anywhere you are. Any other time, the back roads and interstate is usually alright, but the city streets are pretty bad. They aren't crowded... they are just really hard to navigate.

So, tell us, how bad is traffic where you live? Make sure to comment where you live, and the nearest big city.

Traffic here depends. Im not in the city centre so its not so bad, but peak times (again, about 4-6) mean it takes about 4 times longer to get places. Around 1 is the same.
Its worse in the city centre. During the festival its unbearable, europeans, japanese and americans are out in force, and they walk over the roads and ignore the lights, its impossible to drive. I avoid the city centre during tourist seasons.

My city's not that big, so traffic doesn't usually get so bad, but there's several train tracks through town and a big train yard, so sometimes when they're switching tracks or rearranging cars you can sit in the traffic line for forty five minutes.

Traffic can get pretty dang bad around here. I live in Chicago. On the North Side of the city about a mile from Wrigley. Coming home from work is brutal. It sometimes can take me 1.5 hours to drive like 30 miles from work lol

I work in the suburbs so that's the biggest problem. If I worked in the city I would just take the EL and it would be all good.

Thankfully I'm moving back out to the suburbs in the spring as I bought a different house, so my commute will be like 20 mins. Yay!
