i'm just wondering who's really the best man for aerith

my choice is zack because:

1 i had a great time watching and playing(in psp) their story
2 they both have high energy
3 he's aerith's first lover
4 he's aerith's first love
5 when zack was still alive in the story, there's no doubt, zack is stronger than cloud(just my own point of view)

I'd have to disagree there. While Zack and Aeris (PAL version ) where together before Cloud and Aeris - Zack left Aeris to go fight the war with Sephiroth. When Cloud and Aeris met, he helped her - and always only tried to help her.

So yeah, thats my vote. Aeris and Cloud.

I'd have to say Zack&Aerith(was her actual name;was a translation error that made her Aeris). Zack didn't leave Aerith willingly(US version). Shinra made Zack leave. He wanted to stay in Midgar, helping out there and he could easily visit Aerith.

There's a huge difference between different versions...

Actually it is a interpretation difference the same thing happened in both versions only difference was encoding used to make the disc. but truly it should be Zack i mean the way he looked at her in CC was just...... :') ...

I'd choose Zack because he was Aerith's boy friend first and he loved her till he died and Cloud (with Zack's memories etc)met her meaning it was like him still being Zack in a different body (sorta).

Based on just Final Fantasy 7, that would make you assume she's best being with Cloud. But based on the movie Advent Children, kinda makes you think that Cloud is better off with Tifa and Aeris with Zack. Though I've never played Crisis Core (though I'm dying to), it sounds like Aeris is basically meant for Zack and Zack for Aeris.

Still hard for me to vote with Zack though because when playing FF7, I always viewed Cloud as being with Aeris though that's not the case anymore.

So basically, if I had my way, it'd be Cloud and Aeris but I know based on the story it's meant to be Zack and Aeris.

So yeah, I wont vote than since I don't know what to pick lol.

From reading through what the others have said I'm going to say Zack should be with whats her name.
It seems that Cloud didn't actually have feelings for her because they were someone else's memories.
And like Rasen said, its not like Zack had a choice, when one is forced to go to war or something its either go and have a chance at returning, or don't go and be killed for disobedience.

Id have to say its definately Zack as he met Aeris first and I always though he seemed to care about her a bit more then Cloud...Cloud always seemed so busy whereas Zack would alway (most of the time) go see her when he had time

I'm the exact opposite actually... i haven't played VII because I only started going crazy with FF games(and Square Enix RPGS in general) like about a year ago. I don't have a PS1 so I can't play anything past VI, which out of all the ones i've played(IV,V,VI)is my favorite.

As for the couple, since i've only played CCVII and not VII, i'd definitely say Zack and Aerith because they were just so happy together and Zack basically died to go see her again.
