As an experienced player of the Legend Of Zelda series, I have been playing this game since I was 7,Which is about 8 years. No matter how much I've played this game I feel as though I don't know what will happen next. OoT (Ocarina of Time) is a beautiful game in so many ways, it can make us feel as though we are all still playing it for the first time and it gives us a challenge we all enjoy. This is the best game I have ever played. This is also the most in-depth game on Nintendo 64 I have played.
My Overall rating of the game is a Whole Ten, as I wouldn't rate just any game a whopping 10, this game deserves it's Honor. The game play is consistent and not too overwhelming, it's controls allow anyone who has never played the game before to easily learn them. You can easily adapt the configurations to a PC controller which improves game quality to players not familiarized with PC games.
Graphics are what attract gamers at first, which given the game's graphics, deserves a Nine. Yes, the game is Polygonal with pointy outlines, but it's how well that this game is made and how much variety there is in scenery. Almost every character you find is unique and individual to one or two areas (Besides main or important ones).
The sound quality of a game is the difference between having a headache for hours on end or a song getting stuck in your head. Just as my rating of Graphics, the Sound quality is unique to each creature. Giving this a ten, I often find myself whistling a Ocarina tune randomly and I enjoy just having fun with the beautiful music. As a musician I can hear the detail of each song. This game has proven that it is beautiful not only in Sight but in Sound also.I gave the Sound a ten,for great quality and variety.
The story of this Legend Of Zelda game is different, you live in a forest of an elven race known as Kokiri, which are secluded to the forest area only.If one of the Kokiri were to leave the forest, the child would die. And as the Kokiri never seem to age, they can live nearly forever. Each of these Kokiri have a Fairy of their own, except one who has never had one until the day he is asked to see the Kokiri's Spirit and Protector, The Great Deku Tree. As you can see, even the start of the game feature story that can leave someone busy for a while. The story never seems to lead astray from the main purpose, instead it features side-stories that benefit you in the Main quest.Giving this also a 10 I have never stopped feeling amazed at how amazing everything about the game is.
The Depth of LoZ:OoT may be what makes it shine most. As the game progress you can do more and more, you can Fish at the Lake or collect all the item or even visit all the Great Fairies. It all adds a new part of the Depth and in the end always seems to benefit you in your main quest. The opporttunities of this LoZ are nearly endless. The Depth is another Great 10.
The difficulty of Ocarina Of Time is not much of a factor if you think logically and plan your next move carefully. The difficulty is a 7, I'm not sure if this was intentional or not to make it easier for new players, However the difficulty is perfect for anyone really. It offers all the help you need, so you don't ned to go look up cheats or ask for help, you have everything laid out in front of you. And if you really need help on what to do next you always have your Fairy at your hand.
That's all for this review, thanks for your time!
