Mega Man 2 on the gameboy improved on a few of the problems that the 1st Mega Man game had. That unfortunately does not make the game better. Read more to see why the game is... worse.

GAMEPLAY B: The gameplay has improved a little but not much. The level obstacles are easier to overcome but they feel kind of random, sure they seem great at first, but you soon realize that they are mediocre compared to the previous Mega Man games on NES and gameboy. However you don't have to use memorazation to get through the game. Which is a plus. Also energy tanks are generously offered. In fact for the first time ever I actually had up to 5 energy tanks. Mega Man 2 on gameboy has not improved on the gameplay enough raise its score, but there are improvements that make a difference.

GRAPHICS A: Once again Capcom made the graphics look great. They are not much better then the previous game though. There is more detail, but not much. Overall the graphics look pretty similar to the previous game.

SOUND C-: I know exactly what Capcom was trying to do. They were trying to make the music sound more complex, but they failed in a big way. The music half of the time sounds like a mess of poorly played notes. On the positive side however. The rhythm and beat of the music is pretty good, to bad the actual notes suck.

ADDICTIVNESS B+: This game is not as fun and addicting as the previous game. I can see why, the levels just are not as enjoyable to play through, and have many similarities to their NES counter parts.

DEPTH B+: There are 9 levels in the game, but they are a lot shorter then the levels in the previous game. I beat the game in about 30 minutes. That's how easy and small the levels are.

DIFFICULTY EASY: The final boss is hard, but everything else is extremely easy. ANYONE can beat this game without dying a million times.

OVERALL RATING B-
