The genesis game of the Disney Movie is enjoyable, once you've got the hang of some of Aladdin's moves. The story follows the same path as the movie, so, of course, the final level will be a boss battle with Jafar, the main antagonist trying to swipe Princess Jasmin from Aladdin's grasp. One thing different from this game compared to the movie is the level where Aladdin is inside the lamp, something that never happens in the original movie. Other than that its pretty much what I expected of the game. The levels are long, with different types of enemies or obstacles standing in Aladdin's way. There are also different types of collectibles, such as an apple that can be used to harm an enemy (strange I must say) and a giant gem-like object that can be used to purchase lives and make wishes (you get more than 3 in this game, rest assured). Also, the levels are pretty difficult, so be sure to familiarize yourself with the controls as you progress through the game. There are also two types of bonus levels, one with Abu as the playable character and one that can only be accessed by collecting genie head items. Both these levels offer chances to increase your numbers of apples, gems and even lives. So, overall, this game does offer a huge depth of game play and levels, and that's why this game ends up being an enjoyable experience.
