I try not to bring up politics as much as possible due to the fact people can get very passionate about it(even when they know nothing about it) and I don't wanna cause arguments but this guy is just idiotic, kept saying stuff like how Obama is a Muslim and how I am a idiot just ignorant stuff
King of the bronies (Darkanine): Research where?
King of the bronies (Darkanine): fox news?
Anthony File (Anthonyfile2): Fox/Msnbc/Cnn/Online etc etc
Anthony File (Anthonyfile2): I watch alot of news.
King of the bronies (Darkanine): Everyone knows fox is retarded!
Anthony File (Anthonyfile2): only if your a flaming liberal
Anthony File (Anthonyfile2): I happen to lean to the right so I do watch Fox.
King of the bronies (Darkanine): Your a freaking idiot.
Anthony File (Anthonyfile2): They dont lie, they say it how it is.
King of the bronies (Darkanine): *ignored*
After I put him on ignore he kept arguing with everyone else apparently

I don't like debating, but this might be interesting to look at.  If you don't like the source, you can find many of the facts on this list on other sites as well if you want to do the research.

Obama's Religion

I know Obama says he's a Christian and am not ignorant to political goings-on.  However, actions DO speak louder than words.

Singelli : I think your link is broken as I can't access it. Might be just my computer.

DARKANINE : People are going to believe stuff that isn't true, but they totally believe it. For example some people actually believe that the World is still flat, even thou we have proven that the world is round. So I say that you should just ignore him and if he continues to argue with others (like you said), then I say ask that he be banned.

DARKANINE : Politics is truly a cutthroat topic and it can indeed get personal even if it’s not originally intended to be so. So too can topics of one’s religious beliefs and such. It can be really tricky to talk about issues like that without offending someone or, having at least one person take issue with something that you might say.

The fact is in regard to politics there is so much fabrication out there that it makes it very difficult to actually know what’s true, what’s half true and, what’s outright fabrication. It is this way because there are so many interest groups out there with keen interest on who gets in public office and such. It truly blurs the lines and although most people who participate in elections stand firm to their political affiliation, because there is so much nonsense out there debates can turn heated and personal rather quickly and before you know it you might actually end up fighting about things that have absolutely nothing to do with what you were debating originally.

I have talked several times on Vizzed about how I feel the concept of political correctness and it’s true meaning and intention seems to more and more be disregarded and often ignored especially when it comes to politics. The mere “Us vs. Them” kind of mentality that our political system conducts itself in essence can really bring out the worst in people even if those people only have good intentions. It’s just human nature to want to stand up and fight for your convictions. I have been put in that position more than once as a writer of having to stand behind something that I have said in my work. It’s never good when you offend someone but sometimes no matter what you do or how delicate you say something it will happen.

This is why I always give a basis behind my opinions so that even if readers don’t agree with me, they know where I am coming from and why I say what I do in relation to the subject of a column. The one thing that I think should be practiced more in society is tolerance. If people in general were more tolerant of our differences and knew how to talk to one another and, be kind to one another the world would be a much better place. I know it may sound a bit too sentimental but that’s how I feel about it. There is far too much hatred and bigotry in the world and that often times can spill over to the realm of politics where people will use something political as a cover to spread hate speech or to further their cause.

It really is a true shame especially in the times we live in that there remains that kind of problem in society. It’s sad. You’re young and things may offend you more easily because you’re young, I know that I was that way when I was your age. The best advice I can give you here is if you are discussing things like politics and or social issues and the people you’re talking to try to turn it into a personal thing, try not to take it personally and don’t allow it to get under your skin. It isn’t worth bringing the worst out in you. It’s a lesson I learned long ago along with many other lessons that I needed to learn. It’s much better to just try to let stuff like that roll off your back.

Singelli : "Barack Hussein Obama II (b. August 4, 1961, either in Kenya or Honolulu, Hawaii) was elected the 44th President. Promoted heavily by liberals, as demonstrated by his unjustified receipt of the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize, Obama won the presidency despite a short and unremarkable political career by outspending his opponent, John McCain, by hundreds of millions of dollars in 2008. The liberal claptrap that helped elect Obama as president seems silly today..." (Emphasis by yours truly.)

Even if you don't like the guy, I think it's pretty clear that we aren't dealing with an objective source when it opens its article like this. I wouldn't trust such an source to not cherry pick the information it presents.

Yeah Q hit it spot on. Liberals and Conservatives are bias toward a President who is either a Liberal or Conservative (there is not such thing as a Moderatism when your President or running for President). The trick is to find someone who is neither a Liberal or Conservative but its tough since we tend to have a decision about issues.

you guys always seem to have someone blaming the 'liberal media'.
What can i say. I think you guys spend too much time casting acusations at each other. If that energy was used more constructively you might actualy get somewhere.
That guy was imature.
If that made you lose faith, i dont know how you will react when you see real idiots, that was fairley minor.
Fox news is biased.
Whoever wrote that obama page was a biased predictable moron, stating baseless acusations as fact.
If you see/hear the words 'liberal media', the rest is liable to be garbage.
The faith of a leader is irelevant. As is the race. And gender. And sexual oirientation. Theyre there to run the country, not reflect an individuals biased views.

I feel like a debate over Obama's religion or whether or not there is a bias in the media would be better suited to another thread. Seems to me all that should be said in response to this is "oh".

Also, am I missing something or is there absolutely no profanity in this thread at all, despite the obnoxious warning?

Q :  I never said it wasn't biased.
I said it was an interesting read, and that if you didn't like the source, there were many news sites that confirm most of the facts listed.  Trust me, I recognized the bias.  Most sites are in some way.

I actually ignored the whole introduction because of it, and just read through the actions Obama has committed, most of which I had already heard in the news (not Fox, for those who will jump to that assumption).

And I thought the same as leggy:  I thought he was referring to 'retarded' as cursing, but it threw me for a loop when I didn't see any profanity.

Singelli : The most important words in my post were "cherry pick."

I'm sure that many of the facts presented there are true, but they specifically neglect to mention any facts that contradict the picture they are painting of him. Whether or not you recognize the bias, you're only seeing one side of the (many sided) story.

Simply put, there's a reason why you're expected to tell the whole truth in court instead of just the truth; facts can be manipulated.

Poly- Many.
Ticks- Bloodsucking Insects.

(This is a quote from someone. I dunno who and I don't want to reference.)

Politics. Lies, slander, and more lies. What's the truth...?

As Q said, Cherry Picking is common. People will always have bias towards another, moreso in politics. Now, I don't believe Obama is a muslim terrorising the country, providing nukes to iran, crushing Christian churches under his foot. Nor do I believe he is "TEH BEST PRESEHDENT EVAR!!!!1". He's a mediocre man with mediocre changes which will continue to be mediocre under whoever is elected.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
