So I don't know how many people have heard about this yet, but Peta is now protesting Pokémon stating that "I bet none of you nerds knew that the entire time you were playing Pokémon as a kid, you were also being brainwashed into thinking it’s okay to kick animals when they’re not looking."

What the heck Peta?! I have been playing Pokémon games and watching the show since it was first released in America and not once have I ever kicked or hit any animal, in fact I love animals! I even support Peta, even though I don't go all out with it. I just think this is crazy ridiculous, they even created a Pokémon Parody game that features you as a messed up and injured Pikachu who is supposed to fight his trainer and then a line of trainers. I don't know about you guys but Pokémon definitely did not teach me to hurt anybody, especially animals! But I want to know what the vizzed world thinks of this, what are some of your opinions on the Peta Pokémon protest?

I would say the exact same thing you have, I have played Pokémon for a long time now and never have I once kicked an animal, hurt an animal or even thought of it. The crazy thing is that I also love animals and I want to go into Animal science as profession (Actually I am in between that and some sort of scientist) and I would never hurt any animal that way. Nor do I think that other Pokémon fans think the way peta thinks they do. It does not make sense of what they are doing and what this will or may do to Pokémon itself

But I am sure fans of Pokémon like us are not going to stop playing Pokémon no question. I would hate to have this end badly in between Pokémon and peta and hope this gets resolved soon because this is something that could ruin Pokémon or peta in a way

And the game you are talking about, kind of sounds like a creepypasta (If you do not know what that is, it's creepy story's about Pokémon game either glitching or acting weird and being totally different from the game you would expect) of how it is, but I would believe peta would do something like that to symbolize what they are saying, but it does kind of sound like a bad game and something I would not play since it doesn't sound interesting that fact it would look like my true love for Pokémon is not there anymore

Peta has always been ridiculous.

I've played Pokémon since I was 4. I'm now 19. I still don't think it's okay to kick animals. I know better than that.

I played Grand Theft Auto a lot too. I don't think it's okay to steal cars and run around the streets with a flame-throwing burning everyone into a crisp. And I was still a kid when I played that too.

Have you ever seen Peta make fun of Cooking Mama? They made some flash clip of her killing chickens and crap. C'mon; it's a game for little children that help teach them to cook! I mean you even stir the soup with the Wii-mote and stuff! They need get their heads out of the gutter and start thinking logically. This is why everyone makes fun of them. They keep acting like a joke and they will be seen as such.

Anyways, about Peta and their claims of Pokémon... well, I honestly still don't have much more to say that it's ridiculous and I'm living proof that such a ridiculous claim is wrong. I mean, you would have been more correct blaming Barbie for all the extremely slim females back then and when blaming Pokémon for helping contribute to animal abuse. If anything, Pokémon helped me actually love animals more. In the games, I always treat my Pokémon as best I can. Pokémon hurt, and a Pokémon center is a few blocks away? Nah. I'm still using a potion ASAP. They're my partners and I should treat them as best as I can.

Relating Pokémon to animals is a ridiculous claim. Pokémon are not animals (ice cream cone Pokémon...) Even animals in a game are still, not animals. Just like how shooting someone in a game is not the same as shooting someone in real life. I believe Pokémon are simply their own identity. Trying to compare the two is like comparing a wooden board to a sponge. What's related to them?

"Well. They're both solid objects...? They're both inanimate...? That's really about it"... you may say. Well, that is just EXACTLY my point.

Me personally I am just blown away by the pure stupidity of it, don't you think that Peta should focus on real animal abuse issues instead of fictional creatures that help teach children about friendship and the whole you can do anything you set your mind too lesson? It is all so ridiculous to me, I guess we will never understand the world.
