Any advice so I can drive 45 minutes on little to no sleep and not cause a crash? I may get about 3 hours of sleep tonight and I have to go in so I can turn in an essay at 8am. It's 1am now and I'm working on it.

The obvious answer is to plan better and finish the thing earlier.  Now you have to face a potentially dangerous situation because you've put it off.  But I'm not here to yell.

Driving while fatigued is similar to driving drunk.  Your reflexes are slower, your ability to pick up situations and the ongoing changes and flow of traffic are severely reduced and you possibly could get hurt or hurt someone else.  Pound coffee, drink a lot of caffeine, and get sleep when you can.  Otherwise, you should avoid driving if at all possible.  Have a friend or parent help or get someone else to turn the paper in for you.  Instead of being a threat on the road, plan better.

Good luck.  Keep the windows down and get as much cold air as possible.  That is what I used to do when I was younger and did the same thing.

How do I summon mods?  I don't know how, and I think this should be closed, as clearly the situation is over.  Or should this just be a discussion on how to drive with little sleep from here on out?

Local Mods :

Is that okay for me to do?  *frets in uncertainty*

Singelli :

Probably should be okay. Unless people post tips on how to drive while sleepy; which my advice would be not to do it anyways. If you have to do something like that; get someone else to drive you. Driving while sleepy is like driving while intoxicated.

Normally I would allow this thread to stay open, because it can have some valuable advice, however with spammers like Singelli and Sairek on the loose, I think it's best to close as many threads as possible.
