I have been doing some Star Light Zone act 1 runs with a Gens emulator from TASvideos, I did a run that was less than 1:10 and I had 4 messages.

This is the time to show your lowest omochao messages in a level along with the fastest time you got in a level. You don't have to submit a screenshot of your time and your lowest messages, I have been working on some speedruns of Star Light Zone act 1, and I am doing a awesome job getting sub 1:10 in the level.

This isn't a contest, this is to show off your records. If you want to share your records on this game, this is the thread to do so. If I get a faster time on a level, I will have a chart of my fastest times just in case.

I will have my chart in the next few replies in this thread, although I am only really working on SLZ act 1, so, doesn't matter.

I don't remember very well...

But last time I played this, I got 6 messages and I made like... 7 minutes or something like that.

Update: I got 0:48.91 in SLZ 1, 2 messages. (one away from perfect rank) I improved my pathing. What is my path? Here is what I do:


At the very start of the level, I jump over the first set of 3 rings for extra speed, then I jump over the second set. I do a small jump to hit the spring, it isn't avoidable. I jump right after I cross the rings after the spring so I jump over the exploding bomb enemy. I hold right while the platform lowers down, when I get to the first slope, I immediately hold down. Once I roll over the gap, I release the down button on the d-pad. While I roll up a high slope avoiding rings, I hold right. I then keep running until I go up another slope with a fan and a spike enemy. I wait almost 2 seconds after the spike enemy spawns so I can get room to almost touch the enemy and hit the platform above me which makes it lower down. I jump the platform without hitting the walls, and I make a running jump to another spring to take a big shortcut. I then roll down a big slope, as soon as I finish the slope, I hold right a little bit and then run and jump platforms. On the third set of rotating platforms, I run off the right side of the platform because the upper route is 100% trap. I go up a little slope with another fan, I jump over the spike enemy and running jump a line of rings, I thien roll the last slope with the gap, I hold right after the gap, and jump over the ring monitor. I then run to the finish, BAM! That is my path in SLZ 1 for Sonic: The Omochao Edition.

Time in level counting messages: 0:48.91
Messages activated: 2 (1 for a perfect rank, 2-4 for gold, 5-7 for silver, and 8-10 for bronze rank in SLZ 1)

Eddy88 : You can try mastering that path and hoping you could try to get a close time. This isn't any sort of contest thread, this is a showoff of the sonic hack.

My previous run with a different platform path was 55.91 or 55.81 by having 4 messages due to a different platform path with the 3 rotating platform sets.

I use the Gens emulator because it has fast fowarding. I got it from TASvideos, the emulator is only 2MB, so it doesn't hurt. The sonic rom is almost 600kb, so you should get those if you are tired of long waits due to omochao.

bombchu link : Nice record, 51 seconds. I did stop playing this game a few weeks ago. It was because I got a perfect ending for the game. It's a spoiler if you don't see the ending for yourself on your game.
