Out of the streets of rage series streets of rage 2 is my favorite and it is one of my favorite if not favorite beat em up. i have played this game for years and never get bored with it. The game has great graphics good music and fun game play, over all this is a masterpiece and on my top 15.

I agree. This game is awesome. I fell in love with it when I was little, and when I recently got my hands on it again, I found it was just as great as I remembered. I like 2 and 3 the best. It's really good in single player mode, but truly awesome in multiplayer. Now I need to set up a netplay session for the next time I can play. lol

I got this game on PlayStation Network about a year ago. Now, I'm 18, and the games I grew up on were Legend of Zelda, Castlevania, Mega Man X, Earthbound, and a little bit of Final Fantasy. However, I feel like that I should have been a little more varied. Just now, I'm finding out about all sorts of games. I am actually kind of sad that I never did have a physical copy of this game. Over a year back, I got Contra Hard Corps: Uprising, not the genesis one, and Contra 4, for the DS. While I was happy to have these games, I feel like my PS2 collection was wide but it was mostly games I did not return to. I missed out on a lot of the Genesis franchise, and just Sega in general. It was unheard of to me. Mind you, I am still a huge PlayStation fan and just Sony in general. They also make good earbuds. It's just a nice thing to experience Golden Axe, Shinobi, Ristar, and of course, Streets of Rage.
I still don't know whether my favorite Streets of Rage game is 2 or 3. Or what my favorite Genesis game is in general.

I had got this game for free when I had Playstation Plus a while back.  It's one of the best beat'em ups ever and one of the best Sega Genesis games that was out at the time.
