I heard of this game 3 or 4 years ago, but never played it till last week, starting it on Wedensday and finishing it on Friday at 2:00 PM. I am the worst judge of a game because I end up liking most of what I play. I have played some movie based games and liked them. The only time a game truly sucks is if I can't complete it or getting stuck and dying 100 times or more in 1 day.
Drill Dozer was made by Gamefreak, the same people who were responsible for bringing us the Pokemon games. The grahpics for this game are incredable and the music and sound are engaging. I have a slight problem where I have to play with sound or else some of the enjoyment is taken away. The fights and boss battle are pretty clever and unique. It starts out as somewhat straightforward boss fights but the last two in the game get pretty unique. I am of course not counting the "final boss" because while very funny, there is no health bar and all you have to do is punch him once and the game is won. I am not the greatest gamer and struggle on areas where other gamers win quickly.
The game is very addicting and has a cast of quirky and lovable characters. Like the title suggests you have to use a drill and alternate between counterclockwise and clockwise drill directions. Or simply put, the R and L button. You better get used to drilling with R and L because a boss has you do it excessively. (Collosobot's last Energy capsule and southward passage has you alternate between R and L, often a split second after each other, and also shifting to certain gears to pass by passages all under 50 seconds) Which brings me to difficuty. While not a hard to figure out game, this isn't nearly as straightforward as other games.
For me levels themselves aren't hard or complicated, bosses especially the Drizzler, the 2nd fight against Carrie and Collosobot are challenging. There are 6 levels bringing a total to 6-2 and hidden missions where you can collect treasure and all the stuff you missed. Some of the treasure can only be collected after you beat the game but as far as I know collecting treasure only brings a satisfaction of getting 100%. Not counting getting stuck or treasure collecting, it is a short game. Everything is detailed and colorful and you know what something is at all times. I rated the depth a 9 because of treasure collecting. I could be a little off but it is a safe number. I also realize that I might have contradicted myself in the depth of the game but unless you are an expert, some treasure might take awhile to collect. The story mode itself is pretty short. I am already playing this game again because of high playability (for me) and extreme addictive gameplay.
I didn't play it on Vizzed but it is a great game and a very clever platformer. Nowhere near being related to Pokemon but it is fun nonetheles. Definitly check it out and see for yourself how amazingly addicting this game is!!!!
