Sonic 3D: It's Not as Bad as You Think
Let's begin by saying this: there are worse games, but we still here things like: "why aren't the graphics better?" or: "The controls are a nuisance!" But to be honest with you, I actually happen to like this game. Besides, its for the genesis, man, some of it's bound to be SLIGHTLY pix elated. Here's the review itself.
Graphics
Yeah, the graphics are pretty good, I mean everything is easy to make out, the spin dash effects are pretty good with the dust flying behind Sonic and everything, but stuff is kind of pix elated here and there. That's why I give the graphics Eight out of Ten.
Sound
The sound in this game is amazing. The opening sequence music when you first play the game makes you feel "Oh my goodness! This is going to be such a great game!" And the music on Green Grove is pretty cheerful, just like the music on Palm tree Panic on Sonic CD (European and Japanese version). The story line section at the beginning has pretty good music too, so I'm rating the sound Ten out of ten.
Addictive
This game would be pretty addictive for a child or young adult who likes games with good sound, decent graphics and an overall decency, but for me, its a fifty-fifty chance that I'd play this. No offence, but I definitely don't think it's as addictive as Mine Craft, who would? So I rate this Six out of Ten.
Story
I don't have much to say about this. The story isn't very wide, but you can easily understand it. I rate the story Five out of Ten.
Depth
This game in particular doesn't have much to offer the player. There are about Five Zones in total, but the thing that expands the depth is the enemies and the Boss Fights, so I rate Depth Six out of Ten.
Difficulty
The difficulty of the game isn't all that bad, but this is more of an obstacle-based Sonic game, so it makes it that little bit higher for me to rate it Six out of Ten.
That's all I've got for this game. Hopefully in the next review I'll have something slightly wider to talk about. So for now, this has been Dopey Donald 362.
