Call me the Nostalgic stickler, but my favorite Sonic game is actually the first sonic game I ever played, Sonic and Knuckles. Of course this was back in the day, and I didn't play many sonic games across my years, but the ones that I did never really did stack up at all compared to Sonic and Knuckles. Of course it helped I think, that that was my first Sonic experience, and I had no idea who anyone was, so when I played through the Sonic campaign I though Knuckles was a villain, even though he plays more of a Protoman role, but back then I didn't know that. Which only made it even cooler for me when I played the Knuckles campaign. Plus, personally, there's no beating that 16 bit music. The original Sonic games had some of the best music even today.
