My, oh my, oh..MY OH my oh my. Where to start? This game. THIS. If you have not played it, you cannot be a Nintendo fan. My, oh my. Oh. The game its self is incredibly long, but I'll describe it bit by bit. Graphics: 10 Goodness are the graphics good. For a Game Boy Advance game, I don't think I've seen better graphics. They're honestly just the best! Mario and Luigi look amazing in this game and their expressions and animations are the best I've seen from a Mario game yet. Oh my. Yes indeed. Oh. My. Sound: 8 The sound effects and how amazingly timed up it is just...mind blowing. However the music is VERY catchy, and really good for the Game Boy Advance..... There aren't many different tracks. The same music for every battle can eventually be slightly irritating, but understandable. There is only different music for bosses, a mini-boss that you fight from time to time, and the final boss. But, it is easy to deal with, and seeing Mario and Luigi dance to the music during battle, regardless of the danger they are in, is very entertaining. I only wish that there was more music, because of how great it can be. I feel as if I'm forgetting something..Oh yes, I remember. Oh, my oh my. There, that's better. Addictiveness: 10 Oh Lord-y loo, is this game addicting. Let me tell you: I played this game a long time ago, had 20 hours of game play into it and it was lost. Do you think I was sad? Oh yes, very. Do you think that I was sad that I had to play through the game again? Oh goodness, no! Playing this game over again was simply amazing. 12 hours straight, I played this game. I even got further than the other save that I lost. This game is HIGHLY addictive. I would play it forever if I didn't have things that I had to do. It's that good. Story: 5 No, the story was not that good, but it got better over time. It was actually kind of... Stupid, at first. Yeah, the princess, kidnapped. But it was her voice this time, right? Yeah, that's kind of cool. What? It was stolen by BEANS? Okay, turtle dragon is cool, and frightening, but when you're fighting beans it really just doesn't make you feel like the hero that Mario (and Luigi) should be. The main part of the map is. Bean Bean Castle Town. Mushroom Kingdom, Bean Bean Castle Town...What's next, Sushi City? Oh I didn't just jinx it did I? Oh no. But! I must say, after awhile, it gets to be an average storyline, but sadly, the beginning of the game isn't too exciting, and it will drive many players away. But if you stick around, it will be pretty amazing. They get rid of the whole bean thing and... I don't want to spoil what the main villain does. Honestly, it's just..amazing in the end. Depth: 8 Man, was this game BIG. The map was HUGE. The game was incredibly long, and I loved it! But, there wasn't much to it other than the intensely long story mode, but it was great. Sure, there's a few bonus games that you can get extra items and what-not by playing, but it's not really something worth doing. And oh, the backtracking, I, HATE, backtracking. It was kind of cool at first, but after so much of it, it's just..... No. But the storyline was pulling me back in. Over and over. Again, I don't want to spoil what made me go "No way, awesome." But overall, there is tons to do. OH! And don't forget the bonus "Mario Bros." mini-game! Difficulty: 6 Fun game, very easy to get a hang of at first, but...over time, it gets harder. But no! Not because of the enemies, not because of the levels, but the controls. Controlling both Bros. Can be REALLY fun. But when they learn new "moves" and "powers", eventually you just lose track and say "what?" The enemies are easy to learn, just fight them once and learn their attacks and you got it the rest of the time. BOSSES is what's going to throw you off. It isn't as difficult once you've gotten the hang of it, but again, it WILL get worse over time.
Overall: 10 A near perfect game.--Well, a pretty much perfect--A perfect game. I would recommend this to tons of people. If you have read this review and still have not started playing it, GO PLAY IT. If you've already played it and are now reading this review, GO PLAY IT SOME MORE!
