So I know a lot of you have been wondering, “Who won E3 this year?” Was it Nintendo with their Wii U and 3DS game line up? Microsoft with X-Box Smartglass? Or Sony? Well, folks it was none of these, that’s right none. The winner that every one has been talking about is Ubisoft with Watchdog. So how did Ubisoft win? Lets break it down for you.

First up, Microsoft, which open their presentation up with Halo 4. For the first time since 2007 Master Chief will be playable. This game is darker then the other three, and also introduces a new enemy, which personally I think 343 Industry took an idea from Predator with one of the enemies. Anyway, Halo 4, Splinter Cell: Black List, and Madden 13 kicked off the presentation for Microsoft. However, then the entertainment aspects of Microsoft kicked in with X-Box Smartglass. Which, seems pretty cool with how it ties all the gadgets that we love and have together. But, there were no big surprises from Microsoft. Everything that Microsoft did this year in E3 a lot of us already knew about it via Internet leaks or other leaks that came out. Microsoft, ended their presentation with a sneak peak of the new Tomb Raider, which will NOT be released for the Wii U like it has been seen in magazines.

Next up from the “Big Three” is Sony, who had the same kind of layout as Microsoft. Start of big to get our attention sneak in some entertainment stuff then finish big with no surprise. Sony’s big surprise game ended up being Wonderbook. However, Sony failed to sell it to the people despite the awkwardly long demo trailer. It was hard to believe that before this was reviled Sony had Ellen Page saying the F-bomb, Kratos ripping out an elephant’s brain out, and Joel blowing a guys head off with a shotgun. With this and some talks about the Vita, it seem the Sony sold itself short on a lot of things. There was no talk of why you need to by a Vita or anything to really excite those that have a Vita already. Also just like Microsoft there were a lot of games that are coming out that were not in the presentation but at their booth. This had some of the quote and unquote experts baffled.

Finally, next up is Nintendo, who didn’t have one day of presentations but three. This was really Nintendo’s to lose with the announcement of a new system it was really their chance to wow everyone and persuade us to love the idea of the Wii U. However, that just didn’t happen, instead we are left with more questions about the Wii U then we were with answers. Nintendo showcased trailers of Batman: Arkham City, Pikman 3, and Mass Effect 3. However, it seemed like most of their presentation was on two things; the 3DS and its games coming out and Nintendo Land. This left a lot of the experts wondering what happen to the Zelda demo from last year. But do not fret too much as Nintendo also showcased ZombieU, which looks really good, and actually showed us something different then stuff that we already seen from other consoles. However, once again there were no surprise and Nintendo’s presentation left most disappointed then anything. Not that it wasn’t a good presentation probably better then Microsoft’s and Sony’s, but not by much despite having a new system to wow fans with.

Now the big surprise it seems is the winner of this event, if one would ask who had the best presentation and the biggest “WOW!” factor. That would be Ubisoft with Watchdog as well as other much-anticipated games like Assassins Creed 3. Ubisoft ends up winning this event with some really good-looking games and a really high-powered line up for the rest of this year into next. I’m looking forward to playing Splinter Cell: Black List as well as Assassins Creed 3.
