I want to show you something you might be interested in participating. It's a 5k obstacle course run with "zombies" as part of the obstacles. I first saw this at theawesomer.com, watched a short video of it and was sold. Some of you may have heard of the Tough Mudder event that's going on throughout the U.S right now. This is just like it, only it's only 3 miles instead of 13, and a less intense. The zombie run is a fun run where you were a belt with flags on it and try your best to avoid people acting as zombies who try to tear them from you.

Just like the Tough Mudder, this event is going on in different parts of the States. On June 2nd it'll be in Minnesota, which is the one my brother will be running it. August 4th they'll be here in Washington which is the one I'm doing with a buddy (the 2 p.m. wave). This event is pretty cool in that you can either run through it or sign up to be one of the zombies. You can also go to spectate and volunteer for other things. Here is the link to the site for more info- runforyourlives.com:

http://runforyourlives.com/

If you have some extra cash it's $77 before June 13. Here's the Youtube video of it:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4XvnVz9qDQ

Seriously, you guys should go for this if it's near your area. It looks like a lot of fun. Like I said, I'll be doing it on August 4 at 2 p.m. so if anyone is interested and is going to be close to southern Washington state during that time sign up for that time, if feasible, and my buddy and I will add you to our group. But, try to keep up. I'm a fast runner. I don't have to outrun the zombies, I just have to outrun you.

Ha ha! That's unique

Maybe when I get older I can fly to the U.S and actually participate in it.

Quick question. Is this event for charity or any type of fundraising?

Oh my God, I LOVE IT! I still do my occasional 5K run once or twice a week, and this would make it so much fun. I love zombies and I would love to do this. They don't come to my state though. What really annoys me is that they are in Missouri in July and Colorado in August. While they are driving from Missouri to Colorado, couldn't they have just stopped in Kansas in between? I mean, they HAVE to drive through it because it is right between Missouri and Colorado. I feel like a zombie just gave me a the middle finger as he walked past me after deciding not to even try to eat me.

Yep. I saw that, too. The guy had to have done something with PCP mix in for him to go down only after 6 shots. You seen the other guy's face?

This looks really fun. If I was old enough, I could probably fly to the US and participate in it

Well, today is the day. My run starts at 2 pm. I'm gonna be there by 10:30 to get a decent parking spot, sign in to the paper work and sit and watch other runners for a couple hours until it;s my turn to survive an apocalypse. The top 3 finishers get a prize at the end of the day. I'm not so sure I'll finish in that category, but I am pretty fast so I should finish hopefully in the top 10.

Wish me luck, Vizzed!!

Cyro Xero : where is this exactly? and If I decided to sign up on the spot, how much would it cost then?

and good luck mate.

Edit: I checked, and I can't sign up. I wouldn't even be able to make it on time anyway. :'( Do you know if this is a yearly thing ot not?
