Since this thread seems almost inactive, I'd like to bring it back to life. However, I'd like to suggest other people post their own prayers, not the templates the bible offers. Those are guides and examples, and in my opinion not meant to be memorized and actually prayed. God wants us to speak our own words to Him, from our own heart and mind.
My Dear Heavenly Father, It is with the deepest gratitude that I come before You today. I come to You as a sinner, but in Your graces I find mercy. You are an amazing God, and once more You took the time to prove Your hand to me. You didn't have to Lord, as no one is Your dictator. And yet, by some amazing mercy... some amazing love... You chose to bless me. Every day I spend in Your presence is just one more day in the Light. We are to come to YOU Lord for our problems. We are to treasure You, praise You, honor You, and glorify You. In Your name, I wish to do this. Let my heart sing Your praises all day, and let my hand be Yours. As I work, let my lips speak words only approved by You, let my hands touch only that which is blessed by You, and let my spirit grow in knowledge of Your Word.
In all ways, I wish to exalt You and be with You. Hallelujah.
Lord, Your grace and mercy exceeds anything any mortal can give to me. Your ability to solve my problems is unprecedented. Your hedge of protection is un-penetrable. Your fortress is where I take rest.
Dear Lord, please watch over those that I consider my friends. Yae, even watch over those I consider my enemies. I do my enemies no good by shoulder a cold heart in their direction, and so I ask for patience and wisdom in the case of adversity. Lord, there are times when I do not know the words to speak, and I ask that You give me those words.
Lord, I come to You humbly to thank You for my day. As well as may day might have been however, I realize there are those which are less fortunate than myself. Please first of all see to it that they are fed and clothed. Allow some seed to come into their life which will remind them of You and of Your saving relationship.
Lord, I also want to pray for my co-workers and my nation. In a time of trouble and debate, I think it's every bit important that we support those around us as we support those over us. Give our co-workers patience, and our leaders wisdom. Allow my children to be more successful in their educational endeavors, and help them to resist the temptations that they must face each and every day. They are our future and Your children. You would that no man perish... This I know.
Thank You once more, my God, my Savior, for gracing Your sight upon me. I am forever in Your debt, and I am Your humble servant always. Thank You for allowing me to remain in Your presence day by day. You are an incredible God, and a glorious power. Your strength exceeds all, and Your love is larger than even the mountains. In awe, I will always worship Your holy name.
In the saving and holy name of Jesus Christ, Amen. Since this thread seems almost inactive, I'd like to bring it back to life.
