When ps3 1st launched, i couldnt find any hs's.
I solved that by buying a mobile hs.
If its blueray, it connects.
This worked fine but sometimes there were feedback issues and it also got tangled with some other players hs ocasionaly, causing iritating squealing.
It was rare though.
Then the charge port broke so when it died it died for good.
I then bought the ps3 eyetoy.
That was cool because i could play move oriented games and the sound quality was good, i could also upload my face to games like rainbow 6 vegas.
But it is wired, so its far enough away that it can sometimes be hard to hear me.
I solved that problem recently when i bought a specialised ps3hs.
In the store they had tons, some that were like dj headphones, amasing spec but about £80 ($140)
I eventualy just went for the official sony hs (it just says ps3 headset with a normal looking box)
It cost £20, and unlike my old one, has a few nifty tricks, like
Hq mode which alows Echo cross out, stops annoying feedback, improved voice recognition(on games that support it), can dock to charge and still use it, shows the charge, connection status, volume level, and if its muted, on your xmb screen.
My friend was amased how clear i was when i first tried it out.
Obviously the more you spend the more you will get but really the sony one is great. And the non sony ones dont display charge etc on the ps3 xmb.
