Overall, I felt this was a very mediocre PPV. There were flashes of brilliance, but there were also many moments that plain out didn't need to even happen. I guess we'll start with the preshow.

Zack Ryder vs. Kane

If you thought this would end any other way, please slap yourself. The WWE is really burying Ryder as a performer, and he's not going to go over a second tier superstar for a while. Kane may job to the top guys in the company, but this was a solid win for Kane. The match itself was rather pedestrian, which is to be expected. Ryder isn't a great performer, and Kane can only do so much by himself. Overall, very much what I expected out of the pre show match.

And now on to the actual PPV.

The "People Power" Over the Top Rope Battle Royal: The Great Khali, The Miz, JTG, Ezekiel Jackson, Curt Hawkins, Tyler Reks, Michael McGillicutty, Yoshi Tatsu, Tyson Kidd, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Jinder Mahal, Drew McIntyre, Heath Slater, Darren Young, Titus O'Neil, Alex Riley, David Otunga, William Regal, Christian (in order of entrance) for a shot at either the US or IC title later on in the night.

Yes, you heard right. I'll save you about 10 minutes of the expected results. All that's really important to note is that the entire ring is filled with jobbers, developmental talent, and a couple midcard performers. The Miz, Christian and David Otunga are really the only people in this match worth taking seriously. Christian is of course making his return to the WWE after a long hiatus (injury). I believe he is coming back as a face, or at least hope so, based on his shirt choice (I believe the shirt read... Peep Show ) The final five is where the match started being somewhat interesting. Alex Riley, Tyson Kidd, Christian, The Miz, and David Otunga. I like what they did there. It keeps The Miz and Christian as obvious talents, pushes Otunga slightly, keeping him on TV and interesting, and pushes two developmental talents in Riley and Kidd. Riley and Kidd are eliminated fairly easily, leaving just Otunga, Christian, and The Miz. Miz and Otunga ATTEMPT to double team Christian, but it is to no avail as Christian wins in fairly obvious style. Again, an extremely predictable result... not great form to start out.

After the match, Christian hints that he'll be taking a match for the US Title match.

Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger vs. R-Truth and Kofi Kingston for the Tag Team titles.

I'll be honest. I was cheering for Ziggler and Swagger. I knew they wouldn't let Kofi and Truth lose, which is disappointing, as they aren't really all that entertaining... well let me correct myself. Kofi isn't very entertaining. R-Truth is awesome. It was an extremely well fought match. Overall a nice tide you over match while they get into the full swing of the Over the Limit PPV.

Beth Phoenix versus Layla for the Divas title.

This is the complimentary go take a piss match. I followed tradition and completely skipped this match. I'm almost positive I missed nothing of value. Layla obviously retained her title in "underdog" fashion. Wake me when Kharma is back. She'll make the Divas division more interesting.

World Heavyweight Title Match: Alberto Del Rio vs. Randy Orton vs. Sheamus vs. Chris Jericho

Unfortunately, my feed cut out several times during this match, and I only saw in my estimation, about 3/4 of the entire match. What I did see was fairly decent for a 4-way match. It could have been handled better, but it was the best match to this point by far. I've said this several times over the past few months, and I'll say it again, Chris Jericho is not winning a title in WWE until after the Fozzy tour. With it becoming obvious Jericho will not win the match, let me say I was disappointed in the result. I was fairly certain Sheamus would win, but I wanted WWE to throw a curveball and throw the title on Orton. Oh well. Good match when I saw something going on.

This next segment was pretty cool. Cody Rhodes (IC title holder) says he's glad Christian chose the US title, since he would have embarrassed him.

Then Christian says he's full of crap, and says he's challenging for the IC title. That match is next! (because I refuse to think the next match was really a match.)

The Match that is never a Match: Brodus Clay vs. The "Jobber" Miz.

I'm seriously getting pissed that WWE insists on using The Miz as a jobber. He's one of the few genuinely interesting characters in WWE anymore. He may be annoying, but he's interesting at least. Brodus Clay is not enjoyable to watch anymore. Point is, Brodus destroyed the Miz, and nobody cares. If WWE insists on forcing Clay down our throats, can they use him right? As the monster heel we all want him to be?

Now that that's over...

IC Title Match - CHRISTIAN VERSUS cody rhodes

Obviously, I'm hoping Christian wins. I love Christian, and that's only more true when he's the face of the company. Christian looks pretty solid for a guy who has missed so much time. And Cody is only making him look better. I've said THIS many times as well, Cody Rhodes is a future WWE/World Heavyweight Champion. He's got the skill, he can carry a match better than most superstars, and he's detestable and likable at the same time. Christian wins, and gets the IC title... which should prove to be interesting going forward.

Daniel Bryan vs. CM Punk for the WWE title.

This match was really good, although a bit longer than I may have liked. Not to say I don't like long matches, but I don't buy the whole "evenly matched" argument. Those long matches should be reserved for guys like Orton, Cena, and HHH. That said, it was a very very interesting match between the Best In the World, and the Best Submission Wrestler in the World. I knew Punk would walk away the winner... but there were times where Bryan looked close to giving me my first misguess of the night. So on WWE's part, they did a really good job. Please, more matches like this. The "controversial" ending only makes it better.

Camacho vs. Goldberg/Kurt Angle/RVD

I don't really enjoy Ryback. I want Brodus Clay to have his gimmick, and I want Ryback gone. Once he came out, all we could do is make jokes about how Goldberg/Kurt Angle borrowed RVD's attire, and came out to beat up a guy who rides to work on a bicycle. It gave us no end of laughter. The match itself was boring as hell. Next.

John Cena vs. John Laurinaitus in a No DQ, No countout, no way of winning other than Pinfall or Submission match, where if anyone interferes, they will be fired If Big Johnny loses, he is fired match

Anyone who expected Big Johnny to lose and be fired, clearly hasn't watched WWE ever. The match itself was hilarious as all hell. I don't even know where to start. This is one match where my words will not suffice at all. You NEED to see this match, and it totally made watching the rest of the PPV worth it. On that note, I was also not at all surprised by the way the match ended. I actually won 20 bucks on a bet. I bet Big Show would come out and help Big Johnny win the match. Then Big Show came out (Big Johnny tried to escape... he failed obviously).

It looked like he was going to help Cena win... but then a smile cracked on my face, he suckerpunches John Cena, giving Big Johnny the win over John Cena. Interesting way to end the match... and the PPV.

The whole thing with how Big Show sold out was BS. I mean, as soon as "Big" Johnny fired Big Show, I knew that Big Show was gonna come back, and help Laurinitis win. That is the only thing that I want to comment on, because that is the main thing...
