So funny story.  I found this website a few hours ago because, out of the skeptical optimism I developed from a reddit post detailing "Super Nintendo Revolution," aka a fake system in which Nintendo would ***GASP*** give out FREE GAMES from the SNES via download, I Googled this "system" and clicked the first link that looked like it may have something useful to say on the matter.  (Don't make fun of me for thinking this "SNES Revolution" system was legit... I'm a poor law student and I'll jump at any free gaming opportunity no matter how ridiculous... DANG IT!)  After surveying the website and seeing what this vizzed thing is all about, suffice it to say my reaction to realizing I just found a gaming site that did not make me feel like a felon was just barely shy of the euphoria of unwrapping an N64 on Christmas morning (regardless of the Comic Sans-wielding emblem).

Who am I?  I'm a lifetime gamer.  From as early as I can remember, video games were in my life.  As a baby I can remember my mother playing Tetris on our state of the art NES and me wishing I had the brain capacity to solve those geometric puzzles as easily as she did.  I believe the first game I ever played was the triple threat of Super Mario Bros, Duck Hunt, and some track and field game the name of which escapes me.  The first hack I ever discovered was said track and field game when I determined that I simply needed to step off the stomp pad and then step back on it a second or two later to get the long jump high score, instead of actually jumping.  And then I learned the Konami Code and saved the world from the most vile monsters ever to exist in Super Contra.  For the life of me, I cannot figure out why I would always laugh my face off through the first few levels of Super Contra when it seemed like everything I did resulted in an extra life.  I also developed my first love/hate relationship at an early age with that freaking Duck Hunt dog who would praise my sharp shooting prowess one minute and then gawk at my missed shots the next.

The first game I ever completed, without any cheats or any other kind of assist, was Sonic 2.  I cannot tell you how proud I was to see the end credits and the smile on my mother's face when I came racing out of the den to tell her I beat it.  I played a variety of other Genesis games including every Power Ranger game ever, Jurassic Park games, every Sonic Game, Comix Zone, Primal Rage, and many other games I don't feel like listing.  And then I got Sega CD and played Sonic CD and Ecco the Dolphin.  I loved Sonic CD not only because it was such an awesome concept, but the soundtrack was far superior to any game I had played to date.  Ecco the Dolphin, on the other hand, was just mind blowing.  I pity the fools who haven't had the privilege of playing that game.

I'll never forget the first time I saw the N64 in person.  My rich friends down the street got it basically the day it came out and seeing Mario in 3D was just... awesome.  And then I got my own system.  And then I got all 120 stars and Goldeneye came out.  And then I didn't sleep for weeks on end because my friends and I would have Moonraker duels with unlimited lives.  Although I'd say my favorite game has to be Turok:  Dinosaur Hunter.  If you knew me as a kid you'd have known of my obsession with dinosaurs, so this game was pretty much the best thing to happen to anyone ever.  It's a shame how the franchise is not near what it used to be.  Also, I live in Florida and if anyone thinks they can beat me at Mario Kart 64, send me a message.  This is an open challenge to anyone and I'm willing to put a friendly wager on the competition.

Then of course the Xbox happened and Halo happened and CoD developed the ugliest gaming community to ever exist.  I'll admit I've invested in basically every major gaming franchise out there, but Halo gets my vote for most enjoyable game play.  Bungie perfected the seamless transition from vehicle to on-foot combat and Halo, coupled in with the futuristic setting and my obsession with outer space, is pretty much my perfect storm for a FPS.  Oh, and Bethesda can make a pretty good game when they don't make dragons fly backwards.  Also, fun fact:  I've had my same XBL gamer tag (same as my vizzed name) since pretty much the first month XBL went live.  That name is almost a decade old.  Which also means at 24 I'm pretty much an old fart now

My gamer history aside, I'm here basically for two reasons:  1) To catch up on all the SNES games I missed and 2) To meet fellow gamers.  Unfortunately I wasn't spoiled enough as a child so I only got Sega Genesis and no SNES so I'm playing catch up.

Well I guess I better say a little about me.  I'm a dude who still doesn't know why he's in law school and is desperately trying to find a way to become an astrophysicist.  Because let's be honest... space is freaking awesome.

I'm a prodigy when it comes to grilling strange meats.

Philadelphia sports are my life while simultaneously being the bane of my existence.

I'm a Virgo.  I checked my horoscope today and it said that you should stop thinking about it and just effing message me.

Subjectively, I'm the best golfer in Florida.

I am not turned on by Zoey Deschanel; no I am not gay.

I am a strong proponent of Daniel Tosh continuing his show for the next decade, but never setting foot in the realm of stand up again.

I am not a vegetarian.  I wouldn't tell you if I were one anyways.

Before we even say a word to each other (if I were to meet any of you) I would know if you over-pronate or supinate.

Alright I wrote enough.  Glad to be here!
