The purpose of this forum is to contain Articles that get posted to the Video Game Room. When a thread is made in this forum, it automatically becomes an article in the 'Video Game Room'.


Who can write articles?
Only staff have the ability to to write articles which means that only staff can make threads in this forum (actually Elite can too). If you want to write an article, feel free to write up an article in one of the video game forums and than ask a staff member to move your thread to this forum so that it can become an article within the Video Game Room. If you continue to write good articles, we'll hire you as staff.


Rules
-If you're writing an article for a specific game, be sure to input the game's id from the new thread page
-If you're writing an article for a specific system, be sure to assign the thread to the sub forum named after the system. The name you'd use would be the name that the retro game room uses for that system; example: NES would be 'Nintendo NES'
-You're encouraged to attach images to your articles, people like that
-Be sure the title of your thread briefly describes what the article is about
-You can also fill in your thread description, that'll also appear on the index page of the video game room
-Make sure your post is formatted good
-Be sure to proof read and spell check your article

I have a simple question for you. Is this an application forum to register for Retro Game Room Site Staff? If so, I have three great articles that I have created and are over five hundred words. I would enjoy posting the links if this is correctly.

Davideo7 : Okay, Davideo7. Thank you for the information. I seriously would enjoy applying for Retro Game Room Site Staff as soon ass possible. I have three fine retro game reviews ready to be replied. I was about to apply, but two hours before I had finished my retro game reviews, the application thread had been closed. That occurred because baseball had taken my time away to complete the reviews. I was seriously looking forward to that application.XD

Sorry to bother you, but I have a small question about the articles for game franchise articles. Should I still cite my sources for those, or is that rule mainly for news articles? 

totaldramaman2 : Citing your source is only necessary if your article contains a lot of information from a single source. Most of the time it wont be necessary.

Actually this would be something that I would be willing to invent time into. However, I do have a question. Seeing as this is just "Video Games Articles", does that mean that I can review games from newer consoles like the Play Station, Wii, and others?

septembern : With the new video game room, you can now write reviews for those systems. The 'Retro Game Reviews' forum has been renamed to 'Video Game Reviews' and will contain all game reviews, not just retro game reviews.
