First of all, welcome to the site. Just wondering, what brought you here and what do you plan do do on Vizzed? If you plan on making friends on the board, here are a few pointers:

No spammy posts. When you post, make sure it is about the topic of the thread and more than just a few words (unless it is the Crazy House forum). We like to really hear what you have to say. Pretty much post to be a part of the conversation and not just to boost your post count.

If you plan on making any video game reviews, don't plagiarize. Nuff said.

All in all, just be respectful and friendly. Don't be afraid to speak your mind honestly because we also like to hear different opinions. If you have opinions against what others are saying, as long as you are respectful both in what you say and how you reply to others, then you will be just fine here. This is a very family friendly site and we actually like newbies to post

If you have any questions feel free to ask. I can answer questions involving the board and the Retro Game Room. No need to be shy about questions. Have fun

rcarter2 : Thanks this made me feel at ease. Just as I had said before, I never post on form sites so this made me feel awkward. And your advice most likely has prevent future accidents.(I cause a lot..)  Oh and what I plan on doing on Vizzed is chatting with others and playing some retro games. My father told me alot about the first kind of gameboy games and I was looking online on what games there were and I found this site where I can  play them. So in basic terms, get more addicted to video games and chat with friendly people! Thank you again!

No problem. As you noticed, we have more than the old Game Boy system. We also have the NES, SNES, Sega, and pretty much all systems that date prior to the age of disc games. If you want any recommendations, feel free to ask. Just wondering, what kind of video games are you into? I might be able to guide you to some good retro games that fit your tastes.

rcarter2 : Hmmm RPG. I noticed that seems to be the games I play lately but most of the times as long as the game story is good and it has sequels I love them. And thank you for helping me!

Then I would highly recommend these for the Super Nintendo (SNES):
Super Mario RPG (However, keep in mind that users tend to have trouble with the game freezing at a specific point about 3/4 through the game. But is is probably the best Mario game ever made and has an amazing story)

Secret of Mana (really long, but great)
Chrono Trigger (This game has more endings than I can even remember, so it has high replay value)

Here is my favorite one for the Sega Genesis:
Shining Force (not your stereotypical RPG as you can control a part of 12 at a time and can have over 40 characters to use in your party. Great story)

There are Final Fantasy games for both the Nintendo (NES) and Super Nintendo. If you like Final Fantasy, it is worth a look. There is also a hack NES game that is Final Fantasy 7 formatted to an NES emulator. Other than the graphics, it is 100% the same as the Playstation version. Very fun

Hi cherynj how do you like it here so far?
Some other RPG's that are pretty good are
The phantasy star series(One of my favorites)
The dragon quest/warrior is also pretty great
Though it may sound weird but harry potter:chamber of secret on GBC is actually pretty good

Hello Cheynj, nice to meet you and welcome to Vizzed Board.

I should suggest you Tales of Phatasia released on SNES, I'm doing a Let's Play of this game thanks to one of my subscribers and it's a cool and good game. Then, there's Lunar Legend too which is really good and funny and finally I suggest you to play Paper Mario on N64, really good too and funny. You like RPGs, right? Here is some of them

Enjoy your stay here, have fun and feel free to ask if you have any questions

Iaian: Some of the games you listed I never even heard of... Besides paper mario that is. They seem like good game. Plus mario was on the n64? Now I have one last thing to tell you... A thousand thanks! Because of you I have more games to play!
DARKANNE: it is great here! Everyone is very kind and helpful. I have been on forum sites before but it wasn't close to this. Just as I keep telling lots of people, I thank you! You and everyone who has talked to me has taught me alot and I am getting the courage to talk to others in  the forums and you are helping me from preventing a future accident (mainly breaking rules that I hadn't seen yet) and there are so many cool games.
THANKS TO EVERYONE!

Invictis : Lol I was just trying to play a bit of both of the games you suggested a hour ago! Funny you would bring up those two games and are you two being competitive or something?

Matthew2321 : Nice to meet you too.Hmm my favorite video games? It would be The legend of Zelda Ocarina of time (or just the legend of Zelda series). And you spelled feel wrong. ; )

Matthew2321 : Hard? It was easy for me control wise but I will agree it does get hard when you lose track of what to do. In fact I asked my dad for help and he once beat the game several times when it first came out...He was no help, he forgot everything... Now it is my turn to say if you have questions (about some of the Legend of Zelda games) ask me!

Cheynj : Let me think, hmm.... OK, I got it! The last think I did was, when Link got older (I think 7 years) than the game says I need to go to this place. One, what's this place, two, how to get to the place, and three, what do I need to do there?

Matthew2321 : Hmmmm this place you ask... If you mean straight after the change you must mean you need to find the first sage right? Okay simple enough, go back Links home village and go to the lost forest, (depending on which one you playing normal or master quest the directions may vary) You need to go to yours and Saria's meeting place, once there use the hook shot (You will need to beat the grave keeper who has it)  and go in, you will then kill each of the sister poe's who hide there. After all the easy stuff you will run into phantom ganon, need a bow to kill him. The main point? To save Saria and get the medallion she has as a sage. For navigating though the lost forest.... You may need to look it up... Wish you luck if you I got the part right (and if this wasn't a quiz )
Invictis :   Agreed but I need to update a few of my flash players and fix a few bugs on my computer then we should post a thread... And as soon as I find out the scoring system too... :/

Matthew2321 : The bow and arrow (normal) you can find bow and arrow in the forest temple, I don't know the exact room though, the hook shot you can get from grave keeper dampe as a adult. Somewhere in the first row of graves there is a hole that you go into and race dampe, but you have to beat him to get it. and the grave is at the Kakarikio Village. .... If you want me to I can tell you though where each sage is. That may help you find out where to go to next. :/
