I heard from a friend that Vizzed might be adding the capability to play games online soon, does anyone have any more information like when this is supposed to happen or anything? Also, would anyone be willing to play through Streets of Rage 2 on Hardest?

I know it was stated before that in order for Vizzed to have online play for the emulators on-site it would require quite a bit of custom coding. So in order for them to be able to do this, they would need to raise the money required. Last I heard the required money needed from donations would be around 5,000$ and that we are very very far away from getting anywhere near this money.

If people want online play everyone should donate what they can afford. If everyone on the site donated 5$ they would have more than enough to add this feature.

Oh people have donated, and those funds were the reason behind the latest RGR update that added the Famicom, Lynx, Wonderswan, and Neo Geo Handheld systems.

It's just that we need a LOT more donations to be able to add online play. Trust me, I'm right there with you. Online gameplay with other vizzed members would be AWESOME.

But there is something else about Net Play. David mentioned that it might not be a good idea to put on anytime soon because that would obviously bring a LOT of attention to this site. Though we want more people on the site, we don't want to draw so much attention from the copyright owners of the games in a negative way and risk having them ask to have their copyrighted games taken down. It could happen so it might be best to wait a little bit when something like this wouldn't be like shouting for attention.
