Hey, I was referred to here a while back and I just decided to try making a post now.

Doubt anyone here may recognize me or anything - I'm Kiddo, and I usually spend my internets managing Satellablog and researching Satellaview content. If anyone has questions about that, feel free to ask. ^^

Whoa, I had already thought you had knowledge about Stellaview but I forgot to ask you about those BS Zelda games I recently added,; there are 14 of them, 12 with the title 'BS' here:
https://www.vizzed.com/playonlinegames/index.php?search=bs+zelda&system=&searchBy=name#searchjump

and 2 others
Legend of Zelda, The - Third Quest

Legend of Zelda, The - Fourth Quest

If there are any that I missed, let me know here bro - I kinda gave up on getting all of them after all of those lol.

tRIUNE : Digging through the list now.

I remember being told a bit after I suggested some Satellaview games that Vizzed's SNES emulator is ZSNES-based. (Rrarrrr, confound it, ZSNES!) So I'll need to take this into account.
Unfortunately, my personal preference for playing BS Zelda - the Mottzilla Patch which was designed to run on real hardware - breaks on ZSNES, so I can't recommend that one. "Restoration" tends to be my second preference as it's the closest to how the game play actually was on the Satellaview broadcasts.

I do notice the "BS Zelda: Ancient Stone Tablets" line appears to be absent. An update for the AST hacking/translating project was just posted on the BS Zelda Homepage today, so I'd suggest adding that as well. I tend to play the small/"old" 2mb versions but for the newbs on the site I'd suggest the 4mb versions, and if they want something harder the "Master Quest" hacks.

http://bszelda.zeldalegends.net/bszelda.shtml

Also, since I was noted about the ZSNES emulation, I will give a note that in some number of cases, ZSNES will choke on the data header of a Satellaview ROM before even bothering to try to load it.
Therefore, for ROM dumps I was able to recover recently, I suggest blanking out the header before trying to load it ZSNES. Here's a ROM as an example;

http://kiddocabbusses.tryhappy.net/BSZelda/BS-X%20Shooting%20(ZSNES%20Header%20Hack).smc

If anyone here can think of a Satellaview ROM they'd specifically want to be rendered compatible then keep that in mind (and if you can't do that yourself, feel free to request it from me.)

Jordanv78 : Honestly, I don't know what games I'd be planning to play here specifically. I tend to be picky about my emulation methods (Blame the Satellaview research, for the most part. Only recently has Satellaview emulation progressed in a substantial manner.), so I tend to go for self-executable emulators. I also tend to like fiddling around with playing ROMs on my NES Powerpak and SFC Neo Myth, and may be getting a sd2snes so I could play ROM hacks with MSU1 support.

That being said, being considered cool and interesting is a good incentive to stay around.

Your summons didn't work because of the space you put in between the name and the colon. Don't worry, you'll get good at it soon enough.

So I've seen you around chat and IRC, and you seem delightful enough. I think it's great when we get new members who are better than some of the slower members we have now.

Welcome to the site. I'm tj or teej, and I hate noobs. Luckily enough, I don't hate you. Hope we get to see more of you around.

Strangely enough those spaces happened when I was trying to edit the post, not during the initial posts (I was trying to edit to get the URLs to work. As you can see, I've basically given up on that now. Durr!)

And yeah, I tend to be more used to other forums (I tend to hang around Digitpress, Sonic Retro, BS Zelda Homepage forum, etc.). So I may accidentally try to use a formatting code from one of them. That may be awkward.

I'm adding those Ancient Stone Tablet games now, might as well add the Master Quest version as well. The save files should work with the Rgr Plugin as well to carry over the progress of the previous week, so long as people will understand how to rename the file.

Question about the BS-X Shooting game for Stellaview - after removing the header, it's still not playable on ZSNES, anything else I could do to make it work?

EDIT: Nvm, it's added here

Hey again, guys.

After a few attempts to dig into the Retro Game Room's contents, I've decided that I should see to get more Satellaview content added. There are, however, two issues with this;

1) Many of the games by standard have issues with ZSNES emulation, which I recall hearing that RGR stuff is based on. I will have to consider this; at the very least, most of the ROMs will need to be modified to play in some manner. Some will just be beyond my standard ROM hacking ability to get operational as well.

2) I'm not gonna flood the RGR with stuff like Magazines which aren't really any fun to a casual game player. I also don't want to flood it with anyone no one would really want to play, as there are quite a few ROMs that aren't as enjoyable without the Soundlink audio or other appropriate contexts.

For a bit of help on having this streamlined, I would like to have people request me looking into a Satellaview ROM to check out. Now, since it's likely that you won't really have any guide for what's available, so I'll take something broad like "A platformer" or "A Mario game" as a sort of request, if that's what's wanted.
