If you have a TI-83 or a TI-84 calculator, that would definitely help you. This is for a friend that is currently in college. I would do if myslef, but i recently sold my TI-83 for 40 dollars to a college student, so yeah.

I think for the first one, it is -8x^2 + 3x = 0.  It may or may not be the right answer.  I hope that helps.

I've never been good at math so I won't bother attempting to figure out the answers.

I don't have time to do many of these, but I did a couple.

1) Y ^2-18y+81=36
(y-9)^2 = 36
y - 9 = 6
y = 15

2) No idea.

3) The vertex is (0,0).

4) The vertex is (-2,0).

5) X^2 +4x-32=0
x^2 + 4x = 32
x^2 + 4x + 4 = 32 + 4
(x+2)^2 = 36
x + 2 = 6
x = 4

Honestly, I can't say that I condone in this. If this is for your fiend, you are basically asking us to help your friend cheat for a college assignment. I don't approve of that. Your friend is in college. People are supposed to go to college to buckle down and do the work themselves. If they are going to get by through cheating, then they don't deserve the degree they are getting. I hope this friend isn't studying to be a teacher because taking answers like that doesn't show much ethical value in schoolwork.

rcarter2 : well, it not like that. It a family friend who is like 60 years old, who is doing an online course to get a new degree.

I don't think it matters what their age is. Education is education, and not doing the work will not help you learn any more. Especially if this is for a college degree, not understanding the fundamentals won't help you later.

I'll leave the thread open, but you should know that this is cheating, and it won't help you or your friend to get answers like this.

Just think about what it will be like when the exam comes around? At that point, there will be nobody to help or give answers. The point of homework is to find out exactly what you can do and what you need to get help with. It is also meant to be a means of practice. If someone else does it, you don't get that practice and all you know is that you don't know how to do any of it. In the end, your friend would end up failing the exams anyway, thereby failing the course. I really hope that your friend is able to get the help he needs to succeed.

If you're just asking so you can copy the answers, doing so will lead to failure. This stuff is the basis for a lot of math. If you don't learn how to do these problems, you'll be completely lost later on. Trust me. I've been doing this kind of math since I was 15, so I know what it leads to. I have also been a tutor for people who failed to learn this level of math, then attempted the next course level. Nothing against them, but they were completely clueless.
