Hi there i am new here and since i can't really think of what to say more i'll skip to the more or less important part.

Bugs: (or at least i define them as that)
While trying to download some stuff it happens that the download counter counts downloads which did not happen. As an example: I tried downloading Grandia 2 for Dreamcast and it seems that this file does not exist, since it always directs me to an HTTP error code "The connection was reset". It would be nice if that could be fix it so the counter doesn't continue and the error redirects someone back to the page.

I also tried out the "Music"-tab/search thing and found out, that the output from the Rom-tab/search is the exact same thing than the output from the "Music"-tab/search. I didn't try actually downloading anything since i didn't want to waste more bandwidth, though i am pretty sure that if i would, i would get a game ,which includes music, but not music only.

Requests:
My requests would be of course to change those 2 things i told you about before and add/change some more things, such as:
Changing the "Rom search"-button to the name of the tab, depending on the users navigation. If i click on Music, change the button to "Music Search", if clicked on Guides "Guide search" and actually search for things that you describe to search for.

I find file names without spaces nicer (specially for linux) and defined file name constellation would be also very helpful for managing your roms (Name_of_Game_Vol.02_-_Subtitle_of_Game_-_Disc_04_(v2.5)[NTSC-US]).


I know that my requests make me look a bit arrogant/stupid/whatever but i think that they are actually helpful. I did have more in mind but i forgot about them ...

mayonketchup : Those sql errors go away on their own they usually happen when server has lots of people on it at once.

As for the downloading its more of a server issue, there is pretty much people downloading every minute so if you are downloading the bigger stuff there will be lag and errors like that. Eventually we need to get more servers but we can only afford to have 1 server right now.

As for the file naming, that is out of my control for now. You should download a file renaming program, "Bulk Rename Utility" is a good program to use for that.

And lastly, the search and the other pages are needing some updates I eventually plan to do it when I am in the process of restructuring the site.

Well you could change the session-management and check connections via socket and pause or redirect users to some page. If bandwidth is the problem, maybe a torrent server is more suitable. You provide the standard files, others download and seed it.
