I've been thinking a lot about this recently and after my first CMA (Certified Management Accountant) "class" I realized that I have so little time anymore that I need to cut something. I can't cut real life stuff. My family is too important to cut time with them Then there is my job which I sort of need to pay for stuff. The CMA program is hopefully going to allow me more freedom and flexibility once it's done but that isn't until June of 2013.

And I have to quote silverthundr here because he sort of summed it up:

"I was first on the memberlist, I made Admin, sounds like a good time to quit."

I kind of feel like I've accomplished everything I can here. I've loved every minute of my time here and I will miss coming here every day and chatting and posting with people. I've also retired (for now) my ask anything thread. It may come back during the summer when I'm not in the middle of my course.

There is a possible silver lining though. I've made a thread about this to David asking if I could stay on in my admin position in order to help oversee the staff and keep things in order and what not in my spare time. It won't be lots of spare time but I will have some that I can use to come here. If he says yes then you'll likely see me a couple times a week at least. If not then I'll likely not come around much unless I'm very much caught up on my assignments in this program.

So, that's about it really. I almost feel like I should thank people and what not but I couldn't even begin to include everyone that deserves mention here. I will say that I appreciate every who has come to Vizzed and made it a fun, exciting, crazy and interesting place to be. Hopefully this is not my last thread ever at Vizzed but only time will tell.

Yeah, real life stuff always come first after Vizzed, even though if it's sad.

First of all, I want to say this for you. I wish best of luck to you, and to your family. You've had a great time on Vizzed, and you've accomplished a lot on Vizzed, and it's something you should hold your head up for and be proud of it.

Personally, I think you should stay as an administrator, because if anything, that way you can still help Vizzed even if you've basically retired from it, which is a good thing.

Edit: Yes, like tj4bigred said, please come online occasionally to keep legacyme3 in line.

Aww, geeogree, I'm going to miss seeing you on a regular basis, but you got to do what's best for you and your family. I wish you all the best and I hope to see you around every now and then. Take care!

While Vizzed just wouldn't be the same without you, a man has gotta do what a man has got to do. Be assured that we'll all miss you when you are gone. I think if this is the move you want to make, then you should do it. Just make sure to check in every once in a while to keep leggy in line, ok?

Yeah. I'm not happy about it or anything. It's not like I want to leave. I'm waiting on David's response and I'll let people know if I'm staying on or not. I hope I am because it will give me more motivation to check in on (hopefully) a daily basis.

And even if I'm not admin I will still check in once in a while. Still got to get to 20,000 right? Even if I don't get there this year I'll get there eventually.

You are like family to us, Geeo, but you have a real family to care for. They need to come first. If you do keep your Admin position you are not necessarily retiring, you're just prioritizing. I will miss you, but I can tell this is for the best. You put some hard workers in the right places and now Vizzed has a great staff (and a few others) that will do their best to keep this place in shipshape. I don't think you need publicly point out those who you want to thank --there are too many after all. Thank you for everything you have done. Good luck with your class.

Whatever you decide, I wish you well. It'll be a lot different without you here.

I really wish you good luck with your future. I know that you have a very busy life and I constantly questioned how you balanced it in the first place.

I guess I'm just kind of upset that I'm losing one of my main "supporters", if you want to call it that.

We've talked this over several times in the past, so I won't regurgitate everything I've said, but you know how I feel. I worry how Vizzed will be like without you around. I'm so used to having that guy in my corner helping me advance to my ideal. A person who can come on every day, do his job, and still be respected by the large community.

You mean a lot to this site, and by extension, me. You've always been there when I've needed a hand. And I thank you for that. It'll be sad to see you go, but I think that I'm prepared personally for whatever may come. I hope you stick around a little bit, but I understand real life comes first.

I guess what I'm saying is, "Good luck with your future endeavors, no matter where they be, on Vizzed or in the field."

Well, geeo. I never thought I'd see this day, but it's actually happening. I have a few things to say myself. First thing, it was very nice talking with you. I hope you and your family prosper. Second thing is that I want to thank you for giving me a second chance after that incident a couple months ago. You really are a great friend. Third thing is just to say good luck, my friend. I hope your accountant classes go really well, and I hope David says yes to leaving you as an admin. After all, you only just became one. We hope you'll be back on as a regular ASAP.

well, the verdict has come in...

David said we'll see how things go. If I have time and can come in and contribute then I'll stay on as admin. If not then I'll step down and step back.

Congrats on making to admin, congrats on making it to 1st for a short time, and congrats for contributing to Vizzed for so long. You're one member David should be really proud of, and I know a decision like this must have been hard to make. I hope you're very successful in your CMA class and in life.

Keep Vizzed in your bookmarks and don't forget about us. You'll always be one of the most remembered and respected members of the board.

That's rough, but I don't think anyone here would dare think of resenting you for it. As much as it feels like sometimes, Vizzed isn't real life, as much as I am sure a lot of us would like it to be. Unfortunately, unless you are born rich or win the lottery, you can't support family staying home without working. It will not be possible to try to fill your shoes, but at least you don't plan on leaving completely. 

It sucks seeing you become less active, especially since you're one of the most well known members of the board and like myself, have a huge post count which make up a big percentage of all the posts on the site. It's also great to have you back me up on a lot of things, especially since we usually agree on a lot of stuff and are on the same page with a lot of things.

Every great member leaves eventually, I just hope you can spare enough time to stop by and post once in a while and not totally forget about this place like some past active members have.

 Best of luck to you, Geeo. I haven't been able to catch you lately, as I haven't been on much. As I said before, I wish the best of luck to you. You've been a fantastic friend to me throughout the past few years. If you ever need somebody to listen to your problems, just shoot me an email and I'll be there as soon as I can.
