Hi everyone! If you are new to the 3DS PLEASE READ! Ok the 3DS is only compatible with 3DS Games it also has pictures. It allows you to take pictures in 3D.It also has a Mii Maker. You take a picture of your self and they a Mii that looks like you! It has Video too! It allows you to have video for a few minutes or so!  Also another feature is the Gyroscope Motion! It allows you to move the 3DS and the game your playing will do the motion your doing! One last feature I would like to point out is the App transfer! The transfer allows you to transfer any of you DSI WARE to you 3DS, and this is only available to the DSI and must download it at the Nintendo DSI shop! That's all for this post!

Hey dude you've got this all wrong. The 3DS is compatible with 3DS games as well as normal DS games. Not just 3DS games. And you can't record video either. My source? I own one.

It has been confirmed that the Nintendo 3DS features backward compatibility with Nintendo DS series software, including Nintendo DSi software. In addition to that, you can play almost all your favorite GBA games and older generation console games on them via Nintendo's eShop
