On this on it would have to be a tie between Jimi Hendrix and The Beatles. Both did things that had never been done before and they both alot of hits. Two insyances are 'Rain' by the Beatles and 'Purple Haze' by Jimi Hendrix. 'Rain' was the first song to ever use music played backwards. 'Purple Haze' was a perfect example of how Hendrix uses his feedback to create a different sound. Either way I pick the Beatles because of all the things they did and how unique they really were.

Shouldn't this be in the music forum instead? Ah well...

I actually like all of the choices on the poll and it's utterly difficult to select just one as the best.

Since it's stated CLASSIC Rock Band in the title...I'm going to vote for The Beatles. They're well known, sold the most amount of records than most groups and bands in music history...and their music is sensible as opposed to most rock band songs now and days making crappy, ridiculous music.
