I mean is it just me or has death by sting rays been increasing? Or is it the fact that no one really cared about killer sting rays until Steve Urwin got killed by one?

Well... it's kind of their fault for entering fish territory. I know the ocean is beautiful but some people should think twice about swimming in water that has vast amount and variety of creatures. Number one rule if you do swim is to not tease or disrupt any fish down under or the use of deadly force is authorized.

10 Bucks says that now Sting Rays all across the country are organizing a sting (Two drums and a Cymbol roll down the hill, Pa-dum Psh) operation to take down the goverment and fortify the lakes and rivers to such an extent that if you put your foot in it in about 2-3 seconds, the flesh will be gone, and in the next 4-8 seconds the only thing left will eb the Bone Marrow below where your foot used to be. Good times.

Im not a 'nature' person, but I think stingrays are awesome creatures.

They dont kill people, they wouldnt even attempt to eat someone as food.. They only attack (with there spike) if they are prevoked. Thats why Steve Irwin died. The animal must have feared for its life.

After actaly reading the article.. I found this to be quite odd.. But there are simple explenations for each of these events. (other one about the guy who got his boat flipped).

Maybe the ray was escaping a preditor, and it jumped into the air to escape it, unknowingly striking a woman on a boat, killing her instantly.

Maybe he other ray jumped into the air (preditor again??) and fliped the guys boat, this caused him to panic and padle franticlty in the water and the ray thought he was trying to attack..
