NES Open Tournament Golf on the NES looks like a Mario golf game.  When I saw the cover, it looked pretty fun to play and it looked confusing cause there are two Princess Peaches and each of them are next to Mario and Luigi.  Very weird, but okay.  The game plays as a golf game (of course) and it seems to be hard when playing it on the NES.  It is not that easy as it looks.  It is like other golf game where you have to figure out where to hit the ball.

The graphics are pretty good.  It is like any other golf game on the NES.

Sound - 7

The sound gets kind of annoying if you play the game fast cause it only plays the song over after you hit every time.  Other than that, the rest seems to be okay.

Addictiveness - 6

The game is not that really fun for me.  I would play the other golf games that are on the SNES or higher.  I would still play this game, just not a lot.

Story - N/A

There is no story in this game.  It is a golf game.  All you do is play golf.

Depth - 6

The game does not have a lot of things in it.  It is like any other golf game that you play these days, but this one is kind of different.  When you play the game, it will start out by displaying the map and will tell you how fast do you want to swing and then when you choose, you pick which club to use and then you choose where you want to hit the ball.  I have never seen a golf game that would say how fast you want to swing.  Another thing is that when you get to the part of putting, you will see Peach on the left side looking like she is on drugs or something.  Out of all of this, it is ridiculous, but other than that, everything seems to be related to other golf games.

Difficulty - 6

The game is hard to play for me.  The part where you start hitting how powerful you want to hit and it is just so confusing cause it would either move very slow or fast.  It could be the swing speed, but I am not so sure.  Another thing is that it is hard to play old golf games.  You think that it is going to go there, but it will most likely not.  I am not good at this game.

Wrap Things Up...

NES Open Tournament Golf is kind of a good classic game, I guess.  I recommend trying this game out if you have not already.  Once you get used to it, the game should not be very hard anymore.  Come on, it is a Mario game, it should be fun. I do not know why they did not make the title with the word "Mario" in it.
