I will want the option for the user to be able to play the game in either a 900 x 600 screen or a 600 x 450 screen. The smaller would be for people with small monitors and that one will probably also be of "low quality" since it'll also be for people with slow computers.

The small screen will scroll with teh character, the character being in the center of the viewable area. Although the big screen will not scroll, in the future I would like to make levels which would be bigger than the 900 x 600 viewable area in which case the level would be so big that it'd even scroll for people who choose the 900 x 600 screen.

Here is an example of what the small screen would look like
https://www.vizzed.com/VizzedBoardFiles/vizzedflashbash/BattleScreenSmall.html

Here is an exmaple of what the big screen looks like
https://www.vizzed.com/VizzedBoardFiles/vizzedflashbash/BattleScreenBig.html

I'll explain what's going on with these images.
-At the top left you'll see 4 boxes, this contains each users info such as their username, small mugshot of the character they are playing with, lives/score (depending on mode of play), health and energy. The health and energy are displayed using numbers, and the bar below them is based on what percent of energy or health they have left. So lets say Mario has a total of 100 health and he got hit a few times so now he's down to 50 health, this would mean that the bar would be at 50% full. In this demonstration I show the meters in the box at the far left constantly going down - this is only to demonstrate what the bars look like when they are going down and when they are empty. Also you'll see the timer in the center - this basically will count down like a timer does and in some modes of game play, there may not be a timer.
-At the bottom you'll see the chat area, which is the transparent white box. In teh very left of this area you'll see an 'extend' button, this extends the chat area and I will go into more detail about this below. You'll also see thigns people said, this will show the most recent 3 things users said an dit'll also show their username in front of it. To the far left will be who's playing and what character they are using. And finally, at the very bottom middle is the area which you'll be typing in.

This image represents what it looks like when you've clicked the 'extend' button in order to extend the chat window.
https://www.vizzed.com/VizzedBoardFiles/vizzedflashbash/BattleScreenBig-extendedChat.html
This mostly extends an entire window to cover up most of the screen and will display teh entire conversation held within the game. If the conversation does not fit, there will appear a scroll bar which lets you scroll up or down to view more or less. There's also a descend button which lets you close this and get back to game play. The username information and area to type in stuff are in the same spots. Additionally you'll see at the middle to the right game rules. This will basically show the current game mode and rules.

Game Controls
I will want the users to have the option of changing their controls from an options menu from the very main title screen as you can see from the flow chart I've created which is contained in another thread.

Here are the controls:
A = Run
S = Energy Attack
D = Physical Attack
F = Attack
Spacebar = Jump
Up Arrow = Climb
Down Arrow = Duck
Spacebar + Down Arrow = Jump down to below platform (if current platform allows it)
Left Arrow = Move Left
Right Arrow = Move Right
T = This initiates the text area and lets you start typing; as soon as you press enter it'll send the message and you're no longer in typing mode. To get out of typing mode without sending a message, make it so that you've typed nothing (or delete what you've typed) and press enter

2 player controls playing offline using same computer
Player 1
C = Left
V = Duck
B = Right
F = Climb
D = Jump
1 = Run
2 = Energy Attack
3 = Physical Attack
4 = Attack
D + V = Jump Down

Player 2
Left Arrow = Left
Right Arrow = Right
Up Arrow = Climb
Down Arrow = Duck
Y = Run
U = Energy Attack
I = Physical Attack
O = Attack
> and/or . = Jump
> and/or . + Down Arrow = Jump Down

Again, I'd like 2 player controls for playing offline on the same computer to be adjustable in the options menu also.

Any questions or suggestions from anyone, please let me know! Your feedback is very important.
