I was just about to play a game and when I use my wii remote on the sensor bar, it shows my cursor.  I was moving my wii remote to the left and the cursor went off the screen.  When I pointed my wii remote around the Wii, it shows my cursor on the screen.  This is so freaky and I do not know if there is a sensor on the Wii or not.  This is very freaky and I want to know if anyone has found this out before.  I am so surprised about this.

As far as I know, there is no sensor on the Wii (which is the whole reason they have a sensor bar).

This could be caused by a bunch of things. Your sensor bar could've been really close to the Wii so it seemed like the Wii was seeing it. Or there could've been a reflective surface nearby which bounced the signal from the Wii remote to the sensor bar. Or you could've been standing far away which would also make it seem like you were pointing at the Wii and not the bar.

Anyways, the point is, there is not sensor on the Wii. Sorry to get you all excited about it. ;3

Someone70 :  No, I was not excited about this.  I know there was no sensor bar on the Wii.  I just thought it was crazy seeing it, but now it just stopped for some reason.  Oh well, guess it went away.

Probably a whole crap ton of lag. I get that quite often and it usually leads to stuff like this. Nothing to big to worry about, it may mean you need to swap batteries.

Marcmoney : I've had the same thing happen to me. There must be some sort of sensor bar in the wii itself. One of my cats chewed through the sensor bar cord, and while it was unplugged, we tested out the wii mote just to see if we could get it to work for netflix. By pointing it directly at the wii, we were able to get it to slightly work and play netflix.

EDIT

Misunderstood the post. Is your Sensor Bar around the Wii? It could also be what I said before.
