So today I had time trials I guess I did ok but not as good as I had wanted to do. It probably did not help that I stayed up till around 3 the night before doing nothing. If you did not know what XC was it is cross country, if you do not know what that is then here we go. It is a form of torture that is meant to make the user feel good about themselves after nearly dieing. Oh and there is running. Either way this was my first meet and I got 26:47 for a 5k which is pretty good for not training like at all. That is also two minutes faster than last year! I just thought I would let you all know.

I am still not better than leggy.

legacyme3 : I partially blame my coach. He is making us do practices that do not help us at all, that is unless you are a natural runner. I really hate it but I can't practice on my own because that would just be a large waste of time.

There were a lot of silly practices our coach made us do, but it actually made us much better runners.

So it could be that you just don't see the meaning in it, or are expecting a cure all from the coach when it comes to practices.

Ice and time off. But don't miss a practice, sometimes it's a good idea to run through them, but don't go as hard.

It may sound weird, but shin splints never really affected me, if you fix your stride maybe they won't affect you either.
