I'm not sure if it was just me or not, but for some reason when I tried to get back to my game today, the "continue game" option isn't available it only shows "new game". I'm a little freaked out about it because I was just about to go take down the elite four and champion, my team was at levels ranging between 55 and 65, and I had captured 90 something Pokémon. I closed out of the game window, loaded it up again and it happened again. I know I saved the game, I've gotten into the habit of saving it two or three times before I close it.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a way I can get my file back? I'm really not looking forward to doing all of that running around again. :

Some of the people that play through the game tend to have their in-game
save data deleted due to some "damage" or "corruption" of the data. But
this only happens after having beaten the elite four and champ.
Normally that counts as a very annoying glitch needing to be dealt with
or bypassed with by luck or something. But to have a game deleted before
that, rarely ever happens.



I'm not sure about getting back your data other than thinking about
hitting the F4 key if you've also used the save state at a good location
(Hit F2 to save, hit F4 to load). Now just in case it decides to delete
again, it'd probably be best to use the Save File Manager to make a
back up of your save data to avoid restarting continuously:
