A remake of a classic, which oddly, is also a classic.

Ah, Kirby: Nightmare in Dream land. Such a wonderfully designed game. This was one of the first games I ever played on the ol' Game Boy Advance. Those were the days....The days when Fighter was called Backdrop, the days when UFO was the best ability (not anymore!) and the days when Kirby kicked butt. Let's review this gem, shall we?

First, a little background. This game was released on December the 2'd, 2002. This game is a remake of the legendary Kirby's Adventure for the NES. This game was pretty much the same, except for a few minor changes, like new mini-games, updated sound and graphics, portability, and more.

Graphics: 10.
If you've ever played this, you know how good the graphics are. They set the standard for Kirby graphics all the way until Super Star Ultra. The backgrounds look so real! The Kirby sprite is the most popular for fan-based games, mostly because it isn't to big, isn't too small, and is just the right kind of pink. This is why I gave the graphics a 10.

Sound: 8
I love the sound in this game. My favorite sound is whenever you get a new copy ability it sounds this cool celebration sound. That alone is why it gets an 8. Sadly, most of the other music is just better versions from the old game. But hey? What do you expect from a remake?

Addictiveness: 10. This game is very, very addictive. Point blank. No further comment needed.

Story: 6. This is where the game lacks a tad. King DeDeDe has stolen the star rod to the Fountain of Dreams, and Kirby goes to get it. That's about it, really. But in Kirby games, there never really is much of a story anyway, so the story doesn't really matter.

Depth: 7. This is a tricky one. In order to get 100% on the game, you must beat all of the levels, AND press all of the switches in levels that stay red after you beat them. Even though after you beat the game you might have to go back to levels to get a hundred percent, there isn't that much to do after you beat the game. But, its incredible addictiveness means you'll want to start over and play again anyway.

Difficulty: 6. Aside from finding the switches, this game isn't very hard. It's still a lot of fun to play!

OVERALL RATING: 9.3. This game is a ton of fun to play. with over 16 different copy abilities to chose from, there are a wide variety of ways to beat enemies. I recommend this game to anyone who has a Game Boy Advance or a DS Lite.
