I read today that eating a full 'English' breakfast with grilled meat, such as bacon, sausage, liver and egg with extra tomatoes and mushrooms with brown whole grain bread is better for you than eating cereal with milk which contains up to a day's worth of sugar and in most cases has extremely poor nutritional value despite being (as a result) fortified with vitamins which were never there in the first place. Literally the equivalent of taking a vitamin pill with a cube of sugar.

What do you think?

Which would you prefer to have for breakfast.

Obviously if you fried the bacon and the sausage and served it with fried potatoes, fried bread and black pudding you may think eating a bowl of sugared cereals may be preferable - this is also up for debate as the body allegedly handles fats better than it does excess carbohydrates.

Err...

I'll just have cereal.

I'm sorry, but most of the foods in the "english" breakfast disgust me.

It may not be as healthy, but it makes me happy. Starting the day happy is important.

well in europe, even if its an american cereal its far healthier here.there is a max on how much sugar etc you can put in it,if you put more in you are banned from anytype of advertising, the same applies to removing the natural fibre.
I like a full english but i dont eat it often, its tastier than cereal, although naturaly i prefer the full scotts breakfast.

I would rather have the full breakfast. The reason I don't eat it is because I don't have the time to prepare it every day. But now you have me hungry. xD

I'd prefer an "English Breakfast" rather than cereal.

However, I don't have the time/patience to cook it myself.

Well, sometimes one or two type of English breakfast I do actually like, but my parents make them RARELY, and I have cereal almost daily, considering they're the most quickest to eat then head off to school. (Summer is the same, since my parents still do have a job.)

Oh how I wish I could enjoy a full English breakfast. I am just too picky to give it a chance, and it is not by choice. Aside from that I am in the same boat as YMK. Not enough patience (most of the time) to cook it.
