Overall - 8
Castlevania II - Simon's Quest is one of those RPG-like games. The game play is good, but I think that the first one is better than this game. Literally, this game has so much bad things that is not fair and not cool.
Graphics - 9
The graphics are amazing in this game. The images are just better than the first one.
Sound - 9
The sound is very good. It is basically the same sounds from the first one.
Addictiveness - 3
I would probably not play this game more than the first one because it is just messed up. I would even play the third one even though I have not played it yet.
Story - 6
The story is good. Simon has to get all of Dracula's parts and put them together to verse him. What I do not get is why would you go and do that to revive him back. It just doesn't make sense. I would just leave the pieces alone and just move on, but no, they just had to make this stupid story.
Depth - 8
The game has more features than the first one, however, it is too confusing. When I started playing this, it looked like it would be a fun game to try out, but instead, you have to get stuff and have to go to some places to get things and then get this and that. It is just too complicated in this game. I would kill myself if I was Simon, just saying.
Difficulty - 8
Don't get me started on the difficulty. It is obviously hard. Like I said, you have to do a lot of things in the game. The enemies in this game is a little harder. What I do not get is the stupid day and night thing. Every 5 minutes a little dialog box pops up saying that it is going to turn night. When it turns at night, the shops are closed and the enemies are even harder. It will also tell you that it will change daytime whenever. I think that this is just ridiculous to just pop up randomly to stop your game for about 10 seconds. Doesn't that get annoying? What happened to me that every time it would change the daytime, I always end up jumping on one platform to the other in mid air. What would happen if I hadn't made it? I did make it to the other platform by the way, I just had to hold the button of it would think that I am free falling. Another thing is that you don't know where to go when you are playing the game. It is just way too complicated.
Wrap Things Up...
Castlevania II - Simon's Quest is one of those cheap games that kind of rip you off. I wouldn't recommend trying this game, don't waste your time on it if you've never played this game before. It is good graphics and sounding, but the game itself is just too complicated.
