Yeah, I'm a sucker for leveling up. Just the idea that you are stronger at the end than when you began your journey is fun to me. Not to mention earning money to buy better items for your characters is also awesome.

I'd have to say RPG is my 1st choice simply because the game lasts longer than a platform; but I do get bored sometimes with the RPGs especially when it's the type were you hit a random battle every 5 seconds, so I'll switch off between the 2.

KlawedFlaw : Actraiser rocks. I actually enjoyed the platforming more because I had to earn my way up to it planning cities, and building your city better meant leveling up, which meant you were more powerful in the platforming sections. A great game all around. Shame they ruined the sequel.
