When I think of Friday The 13th I think of a hockey masked killer going on a killing spree in New Jersey country sides, and certainly not lighting fireplaces and fighting weird zombie creatures with rocks! Friday The 13th is one of the NES's Horror Movie sets, and this is one of my least favorite. I played this game to see a late night setting and eerie music and a menacing Jason stalking you, but instead I got a comical setting upbeat music and you stalking a purple Jason. Ok, graphics are regular NES graphics, I mean what else are you asking for, its the 8-bit era. The music would do well for a Sonic the Hedgehog game, but let's not into 16-bit stuff. This game is not addictive, so you'll play it once ( probably to its long amount of game play ). This game has a lot of story, you get the lighter light the fireplace, you repeat for three days, and when the Jason alarm goes off you have 1 minute to save the kids and if you die you start ALL over again ( VERY. IRRITATING. ). This game also has quite a bit of depth. And due to the long game play, and the start from the beginning rule this game is very difficult. If you are thinking on playing this game, I suggest you play another game. I like A Nightmare On Elm Street on NES, I like Halloween on Atari 2600, I like Texas Chainsaw Massacre on Atari 2600, I don't like Friday The 13th on NES!

This game is...interesting, to say the least, its a map base area and you have to find and kill Jason, pretty basic for the NES, so its not good. I agree with that, its not good at all. Nice review btw. Good job.

How sad. It seems like I am one of the only people who didn't think this game was so bad. I admit, it could have been a LOT better, but I don't think it was all that horrible. Other than the whole purple jumpsuit and the fact that Jason looks bigger than the Professor Klump when he is outside. Although, I am pretty sure that the only reason I don't think it was so bad was because I had this game when I was like 3-4, and liked almost anything. I can understand why it gets such bad reviews.
