Why is your mother still with him then? Is she scared that he will come after her? Is he verbally abusive towards you or are you neglected in any way? If you really wanted to get rid of him, you could call child services. The only problem is that if they took you away, they'd be taking you from your mother too unless she left him. Not sure what exact advice you want, but I'm willing to try and give you some.

My mother already knows. The only reason we haven't kicked him out is our financial problems. Without him.. We'd pretty much lose everything except food.

She does, but as you said, It's hard. It makes it even harder that he's thick-headed. Everything seems to be going downhill nowadays...

j4m3zizk0olo07 : I sort of know how you feel. My dad was an alcoholic and drug user. I wish I had an easy solution for you. I understand that it's hard because you need him financially. It stinks, I wish I could help others like you. I don't like to see other people have to deal with any kind of abuse. Whether it's verbal, physical or otherwise. Maybe it's the drinking that makes him that way. Unfortunately ones like that rarely want to get help for it and are often in denial about their problem.

I really don't know what I could say that would even help at all. You can't go without a place to live either. At least in my situation my Mom was able to work and support us, so she was able to leave my Dad. But everyone's circumstances are different. I hope things get better for you. Maybe in time you can get a job and your Mom won't have to rely on him. Please let me know how things work out for you. I'm here if you ever need to talk to someone.

wow i feel ya well if you would be poor sorry but all you really could do is put up with it if he hurts then that's where problems start do you think your mom would kick him if he hurt you ?

You are under 18? Report him for child abuse. There is assistance for families in your situation, and she can always sue him for spousal support/alimony after separation. Sound out your options, talk to counselors. I wish you luck.
