Friday the 13th is an average, pretty decent game (unlike a certain person says) that I may just have a soft spot for. IT ignores canon like there's no tomorrow, but still, it's a neat little distraction.

Story - 7
I don't think it's ever explained, but basically, you and your stupid teenage crew have rolled into Crystal Lake. You must survive three days and nights with at least one counselor and one child alive.

Graphics - 7.5 
Pretty basic for an NES game. IT does have a 3D-ish perspective in the cabins.

Gameplay - 8
Basically, you just run and jump around the camp lighting fireplaces, finding weapons, and keeping yourself alive. Jason will often burst into cabins and attack counselors resting in cabins or the children that are in the cabins around the lake. You'll constantly have to face Jason in Mike Tyson's Punch-Out style in the cabins, and he's bold enough to attack you either on the trails or IN THE WATER. (that's bullcrap). It might not sound like much, but it can get quite addictive. Some of the weapons you can use are rocks, knives, and even the machete.

Sound - 8
Although there's not much different music, it has a nice feel to it and is somewhat repetitive, which I like.

Difficulty - 9
This game can be really hard if you don't know what you're doing and what you need to get. Zombies spawn from everywhere, and Jason can beat the crap out of you in seconds if you're clumsy. However, with the right weapons, you'll become stronger and be able to defeat Jason.

Addictiveness - 7.5
Some people may be turned off by the way this games goes on, but if you're really into survival-horror type games (which this game sorta is) you'll be on this game for a while.

Overall - 8
Friday the 13th is a flawed game, but it makes up for that with it's fun gameplay and small puzzles that you need to figure out. I would definitely recommend it.

vizwiz123 : Now that this game haves a better review to it. I'm more curious about the game. I do enjoy playing the survival horror games. One of my top favorite is Resident Evil 3 Nemesis. I find it entertaining when the Nemesis chases you around and try to nail you with his rocket launcher. Anyways. I'm getting off topic. This game does sound interesting even with the flaws. Not all games are perfect. Once I'm done with this game I am play now. I shall try out Friday The 13th and see if I can beat the game myself.

This game is...interesting at the least...kinda confusing, but at least they got jason in there

I actually have this game for my NES, and I have had it for as long as I can remember. It was one of the first games I ever got for it. I still take it out to play it through once in a while. The main reason I stick to playing it on my NES instead of here is because there is no points, so I can't compete for high scores. But it is always entertaining to me. Funny thing is, I rarely die at Jason. When I do actually get killed, it is usually at Jason's mother's head on day three. Well, if I happen to get caught by Jason outside on day three gets me too. Especially if I am using one of the slow people who can't jump high. One time, I got the long Jason (The time where he doesn't run away after getting beat on to a certain period) the first battle of day three OUTSIDE. He gutted my character like a pig.
