Something harsh happened to me a few moments ago and it put me in a depressive mood. I just got off the phone with a female friend of mine who I thought was a great girl. Boy was I wrong... She laid it down harsh on me and I'm pretty much speechless right now and shaking due to this. What she told me and I quote ((You are a good for nothing fat a** that will never amount to anything. You still live with your mother? Pretty sad. No wonder no girl wants to be with you. Your just a kid. A 23 year old kid that never finished school. I bet you're pretty stupid too. For all I care. You can roll that fat a** over and die)) Then she hung up on me.. That was pretty harsh and I didn't deserve any of that. We was just having a friendly conversation and we came to a disagreement on a subject causing her to snap on me.

I'm the type of person that doesn't lie. So yeah, I still live with my mother. That's because I'm doing my best to help her out around the house do to her poor health. Yes I never finished school, because I was always picked on and got into to many fights. I went to Nebraska to stay with my sister to try to get my GED, but I had to come home due to her marriage problems. So that left me with no form of education nor job.

I'm always the cheerful type and just love to hang around enjoying everything around me. Normally things like that doesn't bother me, because I don't stoop to that level, but she got to me. The only bright side to this. I most likely won't hear from her again, but now I'm trying to get my good mood up and going again. Why people must be harsh like that? Do they have nothing better else to do? Than spend there time hurting other people?

I don't understand how some people can be such jerk sometimes.
But it'll be ok. I think that it's sweet that your still living with your mom to help her out.

Wow!! That is so terrible. I've never seen you say anything that makes me think you're deserving of verbal abuse like that.

Did you disagree on a very important or controversial issue? If she said it due to an argument, she might not have truly meant it. She probably just wanted to hurt you because she got angry about something unrelated to you/your life. Perhaps she is afraid to question her own beliefs and cannot take criticism. Or maybe she is having issues in her life and she wants to bully people in order to make herself feel better. Whatever the reason, what you can take away from this situation is that she is probably not
worth talking to. The loss of the friendship may make you sad, but if
that is how she really is, you are better off. You probably just found
out what she is really like.

If it really is bothering you.. Try to keep in mind that nobody can make you feel inferior without your permission. Meaning that if someone berates you like that, you can either take it to heart and let it seriously hurt you - or you can look at yourself and realize that what she said is not true, and therefore does not matter.

I don't know what to say in order to comfort you, but I wish I could & I hope this post helps you.

crazycatpup : Thanks hun, I'm always a great guy and cheerful person. I would always help out my friends and family that is within my power to do so, but to have someone like that just to snap on me was unexpected. Thanks for your kind words.

Annette: Well, we necessarily never talked or had any sort of conversation, but yeah. The disagreement we had was a petty one. Her mother came into her room and started to argue about having her boyfriend over and plaining on doing the naughty. She's only 16 and I agreed with her mom that she is too young to be worrying about that kind of thing and she should hold off until she's old enough. That what triggered her to snap at me like that. Thank you though Annette. I just can't believe she would snap like that over her boyfriend, because I was looking out for her just like her mother was. 

Natas : That is petty. Not gonna lie, when I was fifteen, if someone told me I shouldn't do such-and-such with my boyfriend, I was always a little miffed. (In the end, at that age it is between her and her boyfriend how far their relationship goes.) People can feel very strongly about their partners so they get extremely defensive when something like that is brought up. She probably felt ganged up on if two people both told her something she didn't want to hear at the same time. But I don't sympathize with her. It is not an excuse or a reason to be so unfair & hurtful towards you at all. Obviously she has not learned how to be patient and respectful of other people's opinions.

Annette : I know I'm not supposed to sandwich post, but I feel like responding. She doesn't have patient and I'm beginning to think she's bipolar or something. For all we know that she's going through with it unprotected and that's pretty much going to ruin her teenage year and her school time. I don't want that to happen, but it's not my place to say. It's between her and her mother and I know for a fact she's a rebellious girl and would purposely go against her mother's concerns for her just to make herself feel more powerful I suppose is the right word.

Dude, that sucks hardcore. I don't know what I would do if that just all of a sudden happened to me. To up your mood, maybe you should focus on some of the things that make you truly happy. I don't know, I'm kinda at a loss at what to do as well.

She's the fat a**. I personally hate people who assume things based on things they think they know.  You tried your best to make a living in life, and so far it hasn't gone the way SHE thinks it should be going. Your only  23. Life can change for you.

Wow. Too childish for a 16. Got mad at you just because you said it's not the right time for her to do 'the naughty thing'? And because of it she'll hurt a friend? Yeah I understand why she's so upset, but... that's too much. And if she thinks about it you're actually right. Want me to describe her using 1 word? Close minded. Oh that's two. here's another one, self centered.

My sis is 30 years old and still lives with us. so what's wrong if you're 23 and still living with your mom? I find it cool for a guy to take care of his mom instead of proving his maturity and manliness by living on his own and living his sick mom behind. And you're not a kid. You're an adult. Just because you're kind doesn't mean you're a kid. And SO WHAT if you didn't finish school? At least you grew up as a fine man and your character is better than hers.

Don't you dare be first to apologize. It's not worth it to swallow your pride for this kind of argument. I'm sure you'll meet new friends that are worth keeping in the future.

Juliet : Wow! That was a great pep talk. I cracked a smile reading your post. And you are right. I'm not immature. I was merely looking out for her trying to help her not make a bad decision in her young life. I look out for my friends that I do have. She had no right to strike out at me just because I disagreed with her decision. I was merely giving her advise.

At this point. I don't care what she does now. Like my mother would always say. If you refuse to take my advise. You'll just have to learn it the hard way and now that's pretty much what she's going to have to do. She'll eventually learn that her decision was a bad one, because it's going to ruin her teenage years and her school years. If she's going to have have a child. She's going to HAVE to grow up and care for the child of hers and from the way she snapped at me. I know she won't be capable of taking care of her baby and going to be forced to go to her mother and prove her mom's point.

For everyone else that posted here. I'm over it now and thank you guys for making my day better today.

What she said in my opinion despicable, if ever I have seen or heard something that would fit that description. My advise would be to forget about what she said, I sympathize with you caring for your family members, but also suggest you go back and find the time to finish your GED.

I did not hear the conversation so I can't say this with much certainty, but when people are angry, they tend to say things that they'll later regret. Girls are vicious. I've heard many females say things that were just unbelievably callous. However, if this is who she really is, then I say just stop talking to someone like that. Give her a few days to apologize or try to explain herself. Don't contact her yourself. Who knows, she may be going through a rough patch herself.
